As Jason and Kagura made their way towards the ships, Jason's airship, the Archangel's Might immediately shot out several flares that caused massive flashes and shockwaves. The shockwaves covered a massive area around the airship that were causing the cannon fire to be diverted. As they got closer, the ship was dodging fire and returning cannon blasts of its own.
Kagura saw this, "What?" she said, "What were those flares?"
"They're going to mess with their cannon's tracking." Jason said as he summoned his katana "That way we can throw their aim off and get close enough to destroy them. I'm going to cut three of them in one swing, can you keep up?"
As he said this, he readied a stance and began to charge up magic power, causing the Archangel's Might to tremble a bit.
Kagura looked at him, "You think I can't?" She asked
Jason shrugged, "I mean, I have Sword God Slayer Magic." He told her, "By default, my sword cutting power is superior."
"Don't underestimate me." Kagura scoffed, "I'll show you."
"Okay, want to make it a competition then?" Jason asked, "Whoever gets the most ships wins."
"If I win, I get to have you for a whole weekend after all this is over." Kagura said, "Not even Mavis would be able to enjoy you."
Jason raised an eyebrow, "Oh, so it's like that?" He said, "What happens if I win? Which I will."
"I'll gladly have a threesome with you and her." Kagura replied
Jason smirked, "Very well." He said, "Good luck."
They got within range of the massive group of ships that were charging up their railgun cannons and aiming at them.
In an instant, Jason lunged from the top of his ship and shot straight towards a pair of ships.
"Sword God's Iai: "
He drew his sword, releasing a flash of black light and within that split second, the two ships and a third one that was a bit to the side were immediately cut in half. Jason was still suspended in midair as he sheathed his blade once again as the ships exploded, collapsing to the ground slowly.
"Judgement's Horizon"
Jason then turned around to see two more ships were exploding.
"What the..." He said as he noticed Kagura jumping from the second ship onto the Archangel's Might, "Did she do that?"
Kagura saw this and smiled slightly, "I am not weak, Jason." She said, "Mere ships don't stand a chance against my swordsmanship!"
Jason chuckled, "Is that so?" He said as he floated in midair, "You're still one short!"
Kagura then jumped into the as she avoided cannonfire from another ship and released an aura.
"Gravity Sword: Archenemy's Destruction"
She then drew her blade, swinging it multiple times, sending several slices of pure gravity at the ship, causing shockwaves that were powerful enough to destroy a massive chunk of it.
Kagura then landed back on the Archangel's Might as the airship weaved through cannonfire and returned its own fire.
"It seems that we're at a tie." Kagura said as she looked up at Jason who was still in midair, "What say you, Jas-....What?"
In the moment that Kagura had destroyed the third ship, Jason had already cut down two more ships and was running through the third one, cutting it from within and causing a massive explosion.
Kagura saw this with a shocked expression, "Incredible." She said, "It seems his wounds from fighting Acnologia are healed and he's at full strength. It won't take long before we take this group of ships down before the other fleets get here..."
Jason then flew up into the air high above as he deflected cannon-fire and railgun payloads with his blade, causing explosions in the air.
"Enough of this." Jason said, "Hey Kagura! Seems I'm gonna be the one that wins!"
Kagura raised her eyebrow, "How so?" She asked, "This is just the beginning, there are plenty more for me to catch up!"
Jason smirked, "Oh no." He said, "I'm going to be on the lead for a while."
"God Slayer Secret Art: "
Jason assumed an Iai stance as he charged up an obscene amount of magic power, releasing a dark aura.
"What..." Kagura said, "Jason, that kind of power..."
"Time to let loose." Jason muttered, "I ain't gonna let these assholes bring my ship down. I need it to get Erion back......"
Jason then disappeared, surprising Kagura who was cutting down cannon-fire herself.
"What?" She said
Suddenly, Jason appeared in the middle of the group of ships and as soon as he appeared, the entire area around them turned dark as countless of massive slashes appeared in the air, seemingly cutting through space itself.
"Judgement Cut: End"
Kagura widened her eyes as the slashes easily cut through the ships and destroyed them all in merely an instant of the spell being cast.
All she could do is watch as the ships slowly drop down as they were engulfed in flames.
"Incredible...." Kagura said, "What kind of power is that?"
Jason then appeared next to her as he sheathed his sword, "Whew." He said, "That'll buy us some time for the main fleet to arrive. We can have fun then."
"So that is Sword God Slayer Magic?" Kagura asked
Jason nodded, "Pretty good, eh?" He said, "Wanna learn it?"
"Is that even possible?" Kagura asked
Jason shrugged, "I don't know..." He said before looking back at the Nemesis, "I wonder if the charging sequence is close to done....the sooner we get those Cavalry Units up, the better. I'm going to get busy from now on....."
As Kagura was going to say something, they both felt an unusual shift in the air. Jason immediately recognized the feeling and widened his eyes.
He immediately pushed Kagura away as a sword appeared out of thin air and cut straight through his arm, stopping halfway through.
"J-Jason!!!" Kagura exclaimed with shock as she saw this
"Shit..." Jason said, "You're here, eh? Dimaria...."
He glared at Dimaria who was holding her sword with a slight smirk on her face.
"This is the second time you manage to avoid death from my magic...." Dimaria said, "How are you doing it?"
"Tch..." Jason said as Dimaria pulled her sword out, "Don't worry about it."
Kagura immediately swung her blade at Dimaria with such speed that she was sure she would land as strike.
But to her surprise, she missed and Dimaria was behind her already, her blade already in the ending of the swinging motion.
"What the...." Kagura said with shock
Blood then spewed out of her midsection as a massive cut appeared. Kagura collapsed to her knees, clutching her wound as she looked back at Dimaria who was turning around with a smirk.
"I came to kill you, Jason!" Dimaria said, "And I'll take Randi back while I'm at it!"
Jason's wound was already healed as he placed his hand on Kagura's shoulder, causing a dark green mist to appear around her, healing her wound as well.
"Hm..." He said, "I didn't think I'd use this already.....but oh well, I believe it'll be useful to counter you...."
Dimaria raised her eyebrow, "What do you mean?" She asked
Jason then clapped his hands, releasing an immense wave of magic power.
"AirspacexBattlefield: "
Suddenly, the entire space around them began to warp violently as Dimaria stumbled atop of the ship they were on.
"What the..." Dimaria said
"Heaven and Earth Convergence"
Suddenly, after a bright flash of light, they were standing atop of solid ground that was emitting a bit of steam and a strange blue aura.
Dimaria looked at this, "What is this?" She said, "Are we on the ground???"
Jason shook his head, "Nope." He said, "We're on the exact same spot, high in the air."
Jason's spell is the combination of Airspace and Battlefield, allowing him to merge sky and earth within the same space with some added benefits. This is mostly used when he needs a proper foundation when fighting in the air, in case Airspace doesn't work on its own.
Kagura straightened up, "Jason..." She said, "Is this..."
"I merged both the sky and earth in this specific space." Jason explained as he drew his sword, "Kagura, as long as she's here, you can see her attacks. She has the power to freeze time, Age Seal!"
Kagura widened her eyes, "What?" She said, "What kind of power is that?"
Suddenly, Kagura immediately reacted to a sword slash from Dimaria, blocking it with her sword as Dimaria had her eyes widened in shock.
"What the..." The shield said, "You saw my attack?!"
Kagura, who was also surprised, looked at her, "I don't know how..." She said, "If you can stop time....I shouldn't be able to....."
Jason then raised his hand, releasing a massive beam of dark silver energy and shooting it straight at Dimaria, hitting her hard in the chest. The attack sent the shield flying and hitting the ground hard.
Dimaria reeled as her body was covered in smoke, "This power..." She said, "I....is that....."
Jason smiled slightly, "The power of the Moon God..." He said, "And I wield the power of the Sword God too. Unlike you, who only wields the power of the Time God...."
"A power I might take for myself."
