(Third Person POV)
As a fierce deadlock was engaged by both the Magic Council forces and the Northern Alvarez Armies, the guild mages that were assisting were gathered in an emergency meeting inside a tent by a frozen river.
Warrod, the Wizard Saint, sat in a table as he had his hand on his chin.
"Hm..." He said, "To think that Acnologia, the Legendary Dragon would be defeated..."
Next to him, Minerva, The Master of Sabertooth sat with her arms crossed, "Yea..." She said, "It's a good thing, too. We don't have to worry about that thing anymore...."
In front of them, Gajeel and Mirajane sat with serious looks on their faces.
"We have 2 Shields commanding these forces." Mirajane said, "According to our intel, they're Etherious."
Gajeel looked at her, "Who gave that intel? Jason?" She asked
"Jason's etherious companion, Seilah." Mira nodded, "She mentioned how both Larcade and Erigor are powerful Etherious Demons."
"Stronger than the one I fought?" Gajeel asked
Mirajane shrugged, "I am not sure." She said, "But that one was the most dangerous, due to his magicbane particles. We don't know anything about these two."
Warrod looked at them, "That's interesting..." He said, "To think we would still deal with Etherious...."
Minerva looked at Warrod, "What should our next move, Warrod-dono?" she asked, "Our forces are in an equal struggle against the enemy. My mages are doing their best to tilt the scales."
Gajeel sighed, "Yea." He said, "To think that their numbers would prove beneficial for them. No matter how many we take down, more are there to take their place."
Warrod nodded, "I am not sure." He said, "I don't know what to do. I am unfamiliar with how these Etherious work. If Bloodman, the one that Gajeel-kun defeated, could turn the tables, what makes us think these two can't do the same?"
"Bloodman wielded Curses that the Demons from Tartaros used." Gajeel said, "I don't know if those two can top that."
Mirajane looked at Gajeel, "You don't think those two are the same?" She asked, "I mean, it's possible, isn't it?"
Warrod looked at Mirajane, "Whatever the case, I think we must let her on the field." He said
Minerva raised her eyebrow, "Are you sure?" She asked, "Don't you think that's too risky?"
Mirajane nodded, "Yea, that's true." She said, "It could be risky. We don't know her."
"True, but Jason trusts her." Warrod said, "She might give us the edge we need. Before you three take to the field needlessly, I say we let her spearhead this battle."
Gajeel frowned, "I don't know about that..." He said, "From the way Jason described her..."
"She's a bit crazy."
*******************************************************************************
In the back of the battlefield, Sting and Rogue were crouched down, helping some medics bandage up the wounded. They, too, had wounds on their bodies but they were nothing too severe.
"Man, this battle has been going on for a while, eh?" Sting said
Rogue nodded, "Agreed." He said, "I wonder how the other fronts are doing. Jason went and fought Acnologia, I heard he defeated him."
Sting smiled nervously, "What kind of monster is he?" He muttered, "That's crazy."
"Sting-san!! Rogue-san!!!" A voice bellowed
Rogue stood up, "What is it?!" He said as a mage approached them
The mage was panting, he was running for a while, he was bleeding from his forehead, a massive gash opened.
"Oi, are you alright?!" Sting exclaimed
The mage straightened up, "A-Attack!!" He said, "In the middle of our forces!! It's a crazy strong guy!! Never seen anything like it!!"
"What did you say?" Rogue asked
As he said this, there was a massive explosion of snow and dirt in the distance. They felt a massive shockwave caused by said explosion. Both Rogue and Sting were surprised that there was an attack so deep in their lines, considering the deadlock was further away from them.
"What the hell is it now?!" Sting exclaimed, "What's this feeling?"
Rogue began to slightly tremble, "Yeah, I know what you mean..." He said, "L-Let's go check it out!"
Sting nodded, "Yeah." He said before looking at the mage, "You, stay here and get that treated!"
Then, they both jumped away, taking off into a sprint towards where the attack was.
As they reached the scene, they stopped and widened their eyes to see a terrifying sight.
"W-What the hell?!" Sting said as he looked up
There were massive red pillars of what looked like dried and crystalized blood that had several magic council mages impaled on them. They stood no chance, they had died on the spot of being impaled.
"Who did this?!" Rogue exclaimed
Several mages began to run away in fear of a lone figure that was in between the pillars.
"Run away!!" one of them cried, "He's crazy!!!"
Sting and Rouge narrowed their eyes at the figure, feeling an immense pressure coming from him. They couldn't feel an ounce of magic power coming from the person, only an overwhelming sense of dread. It felt colder than the atmosphere around them, colder than the frozen ground they stood on.
"I reckon he's one of the Shields...." Rogue said
Rogue was correct; in front of them stood Erigor, one of the Spriggan 12.
Erigor took a step forward, one of his arms was in his pocket and the other one was placed in a gesture on his chest. His cold and emotionless eyes pierced the two Dragon Slayers as he took another step forwards.
"Guess there's no other choice, Rogue." Sting said, "We're fighting."
In an instant, Erigor waved his hand, sending a massive wave of red crystalized blood at the two Dragon Slayers.
"Watch out!" Rogue said as they both jumped away
The attack hit the ground and exploded violently, shredding the ground that they stood on.
Sting landed several meters away, "What was that?" He said, "Is he an Etherious? Was that a Curse?"
Rogue landed atop of a rock, "Maybe." He said, "I didn't feel any magic power, it could be a Curse..."
Erigor placed his hand back into his pocket and tilted his head. His body then released a red vapor as blood began to form underneath his feet.
"Bloodletter: Field of Roses"
Suddenly, there was a wave of red vapor that covered the whole area, hitting the two dragon slayers who covered their faces.
"What the...." Sting said
Then, they were both hit by massive explosions of boiling blood as the roses made out of blood sprouted from the ground. The entire area surrounding the Shield was covered in a field of blood-roses that emitted steam, due to them being boiling.
"What is this power?!" Rogue said as his arm was scalded
"Tell me about it..." Sting said, "I didn't see it coming!"
Erigor then raised his arm, pointing his finger at Sting, "My name is Erigor..." He said with a low tone, "Demon of Blood.....now, die..."
"Bloodletter: Piercing Blood"
Suddenly, a piercing trail of blood shot straight at Sting. It was so fast that the dragon slayer was unable to react right in time due to his recovery from the previous attack.
The attack was meant to pierce right through his midsection, but instead of doing that, it was deflected away by a newcomer.
"Sting!" Rogue exclaimed, "Are you okay?!"
Sting nodded, "Y-Yea..." He said as he stumbled back, "That was close..."
"Oi oi oi.." a voice said, "This Etherious is a dangerous one."
In front of Sting, Igora stood with her kanobo on her shoulder as she had a serious look on her face. Seilah stood next to her as she had her hands behind her back.
Sting raised his eyebrow, "You...." He said
Igora glanced at Sting, "Sorry, White Dragon." She said, "This one's mine, Jason's orders. If you're to fight a Shield, it's the other one here. Larcade."
Sting frowned, "What?" He said, "What does that mean?"
Igora shrugged, "Beats me." She said, "I'm only doing what I'm told to."
She then turned back to look at Erigor who was still standing there, looking straight at Seilah who was standing silently next to Igora.
"You....." He said softly, "You dare betray His Majesty and join this Ifrit scum......I shall make sure your punishment is severe...."
Igora chuckled, "Sorry, kiddo." She said as she let out a fierce red aura, "But you're not going to do anything."
"For I will crush you."
