🕑 Added 2023-11-27 20:27:56 +0000 UTC(Third Person POV)
In the skies above Irene's damaged palace, two dragons flew in the air.
Erion, a barely newborn Dragon. And Acnologia, The Dragon King.
Acnologia looked at Erion from a distance and in an instant, swooped down near the ground, the power of his flight was so strong that it absolutely destroyed everything that was on the ground, sending everything flying away. He then flew upwards and above Erion who was flapping his wings, staying in midair.
The newborn dragon was merely looking at the newcomer, as if if he were in complete awe. Acnologia merely stared at him with his beady eyes, similar to how a predator scans its prey.
He then let out a massive roar, the shockwave it sent was strong enough to scatter the newborn dragon and shake the ground below them, crumbling more parts of Irene's palace as the Shield looked up in shock.
"N-Not this..." Irene said as she began to run
Jason gritted his teeth, "What the hell is he doing here?!?!"
After the roar ended, Erion merely blinked and looked at the dragon, almost as if he was trying to comprehend what was going on. Below the two dragons, the swarms of soldiers that were frantically running around could be seen.
Barriers were deployed around the docks, in an attempt to protect the remaining airships. Acnologia noticed that there was a massive amount of destruction that was caused by the newborn dragon.
"Dragon...." Acnologia said
His voice was so deep and ominous. Upon hearing it, Jason couldn't help but get goosebumps. He knew that Acnologia could talk, but it unsettled him to hear him do so.
As Irene's army were scurrying around, taking this brief opportunity to compose themselves, Erion merely looked at Acnologia, his dark blue eyes staring at the massive black dragon that flew above him.
As Jason ran, trying to follow Irene who was running through the hallways of the palace, the whole thing shaking and crumbling, he noticed something odd with Erion.
He stopped and looked at him, seeing something unusual; Erion was sniffing the air as he looked up at Acnologia.
The Dragon King noticed this as well.
"What are you doing, Dragon?" Acnologia said as his wings flapped
Suddenly, Erion's eyes widened as they flashed with blue and he reared his head back, letting out a massive roar and releasing a massive dark aura.
Jason widened his eyes, realizing what this meant.
"No!" He exclaimed as he activated his magic, "E-Erion, don't!!!"
In an instant, Erion lunged at Acnologia with tremendous speed, covered in a dark aura as he swiped his arms at the Dragon King. The claws struck at Acnologia, sending him reeling back in midair. The strike was enough to slightly cut through the Dragon King's scales, drawing a bit of blood.
"Oh.." Acnologia said as he composed himself in midair, "That......actually hurt...."
Erion flapped his wings letting out another roar as he released a dark aura.
"Peculiar..." The Dragon King mused, "Your power......it's awfully familiar......"
"Erion!!!" Jason said as he flew towards the two dragons
He was covered in mechanical armor, and two massive steel wings on his back thrusters blasted magic energy to enable flight.
As he reached them, Erion immediately spread his wings and limbs outwards, letting out another roar. He released another wave of a dark and thick aura that hit Jason, sending him flying down.
Jason crashed through the palace, hitting floor by floor.
"Shitt!!!" Jason exclaimed
Acnologia looked at this with mere amusement, "That man...." He said, "This is interesting to say the least....Dragon! I shall accept your challenge. I, The Dragon King, Acnologia, shall slay you!!!"
Acnologia lunged at Erion, hitting him a claw swipe of his own, striking at his face. The blow was stronger than Erion's which sent him flying back and crashing against the ground. The force of the impact was strong enough to shatter the ground and cause a massive shockwave that sent everything around him flying.
Irene saw this and widened her eyes, "No!" She growled, "Do not touch my son!!"
She was about to release an aura but she collapsed to her knees. Heine appeared next to her and crouched down.
"M'Lady!!" She exclaimed, "You mustn't exert yourself! Your body isn't in any condition!"
Irene gritted her teeth as she looked up, "That....." She managed, "That fiend!!!"
Acnologia flew straight at Erion who was barely composing himself and crashed against the newborn dragon. This caused another shockwave that sent everything flying, shattering the earth yet again.
"Interesting!" Acnologia said as he was met by resistance, "You're strong...."
Erion was holding Acnologia's arms with his own, using his strength to keep him at bay as the Dragon King looked at him with amusement.
Erion then let out a deafening roar, letting out an aura yet again. This caused Acnologia to stumble a bit and the newborn instantly flew up in the air, high above him.
"Hm?" Acnologia said as he looked up
Erion then began to charge up an immense amount of black light in his mouth as he looked down at Acnologia.
The Dragon King immediately knew what this meant.
"A breath attack?" He said, "Interesting......but I won't let you!"
In an instant, Acnologia had flown past Erion, swiping his claws at him, interrupting the breath attack. Suddenly, blood began to spew out from Erion's chest as there was a massive hole caused by the claw swipe.
Erion coughed up blood as he let out a shriek of pain, his black light dispelling. He stumbled in the air as his chest was opened up, blood pouring out of the wound.
"Erion!!!" Irene exclaimed, "N-No!!!"
She then pushed Heine away as she forced herself to fly towards her son. Despite successfully hovering, she was slowly advancing, this was due to her being weakened by the childbirth.
"Irene-sama!!" Heine yelled out
"I must get there!" Irene exclaimed
Up in the sky, Acnologia charged back down at Erion, striking him again with claw swipes, this time, ripping apart the entirety of his chest. Blood exploded everywhere, his ribcage being exposed as the Dragon King's claws ripped through him.
As the newborn dragon let out shrieks of pain, Acnologia punched him straight down into the ground, causing yet again another shockwave that sent everything flying away.
"Erionn!!!' Irene yelled out with tears in her eyes
"Dragon, you are but an interesting one..." Acnologia said as he flapped his wings, "But you are just that, a Dragon, and you must die."
He then reared his head back, charging up energy into his mouth, preparing a breath attack. This was meant to be the finisher to him.
Irene glared at Acnologia, "Like I'll let you!!!" She yelled
Suddenly, The Dragon King felt something off about his body. He deactivated the breath attack and moved his head around.
"What?" He said, "My body....it can't move....."
This was true. As Irene slowly flew towards Acnologia, enraged by his actions, Acnologia was frozen in midair.
"Airspace"
Acnologia looked down to see Jason coming out from a pile of debris caused by the crumbling palace.
"Human...." He said, "It is you..."
Irene then came into his vicinity as she swung her arms with an enraged look on her face.
"DISAPPEAR!!!!"
Suddenly, The Dragon King was engulfed by several massive explosions that dwarfed even him. The explosions hit him hard as they shook the entire air itself. The shockwave caused by these explosions was more than enough to completely crumble Irene's palace and shatter the ground around them.
Jason grimaced, "Shit." He said, "That disabled my Airspace.
Irene, who was panting and had one eye closed, looked at the massive amount of smoke caused by her attack.
"You.....fiend..." she said, "I don't care who you are...."
"Nobody lays a finger on my child!!!"
