In the memory, Mavis and Jason, stood in the kitchen again, as both of his mothers were on the table sobbing.
Mavis looked to the corner and saw child Jason sulking, with his back facing them. She could tell that he was silently crying.
The woman that Mavis recognized as the one in Jason's bedroom suddenly stood up as she stomped her way towards child Jason.
"You little..." She said as she grabbed him by the collar and slammed him down to the ground
"Ahh!" child Jason exclaimed as tears came out of his eyes
The woman then began to slap him in the face repeatedly as child Jason tried to shield himself.
"Fucking little shit!" She growled, "You had one job!! Protect your sister!!!"
The other woman ran up to her and tried to pull her away, "Please stop!" She pleaded, "Please!! S-Sonia!"
Child Jason began to sob as the woman was smacking him in the face.
Mavis watched this with a horrified look on her face, Jason, who stood next to her, watched this without much of a reaction.
Suddenly, the memory switched again. They were back to child Jason's room. The woman, Sonia, stumbled her way to the bed where child Jason laid, sobbing. She had a bottle of alcohol in her hand as she sat down in the bed.
She put the bottle down in the floor as she put her hand on Jason's shoulder, who flinched.
"I'm sorry, little one..." Sonia said as child Jason tucked himself even more, "I....."
She then laid down on top of child Jason, falling asleep. Child Jason merely sobbed silently as tears flowed out of his eyes and down his cheeks.
The memory switched again, this time, Mavis saw the other woman, Sohee, frantically packing a bag as child Jason, who seemed a bit older, looked at her.
"M-Mom..?" child Jason said
"Hurry, Jason!" Sohee said, "Take the bags to the car, we're leaving!"
child Jason froze, as if he was struck with fear, "L-Leaving?" He asked
Sohee walked over to him as tears flowed out of her eyes, "I"m so sorry, Jason, I didn't know she was doing that to you...." She said shakily, "I thought....I thought I knew her.......Just go, son, go and put the bags in the car! Before she wakes up!"
Jason nodded frantically as he scurried away, grabbing the packed bags and hurriedly walked out of the house.
Mavis looked at adult Jason who looked at this, "You managed to leave her?"
"I suppose." Jason said, "I had a dream about my young self....seemingly living happily without that woman....."
Sohee was wiping tears off her face as she sniffed, "Oh, god..." She said, "I can't believe it.....that monster...."
Mavis smiled slightly as she looked at her, "That mom...." She said, "I can tell....she had a gentle heart....."
"That's true." Jason said, "In my dreams....hell....even now.....I feel nothing but love towards her...."
The memory then switched again, this time a much more grown Jason was walking down the street, he wore a school uniform as he had a bag on his hand. He looked like he had a few bruises on his face.
"This is?" Mavis stated
"I was a bit older." Jason said, "I think about your age when your age stopped, maybe older."
As teen Jason walked, his mother approached him from the front.
"Jason!" Sohee said as she had a concerned look on her face, "What happened to your face?"
"Nothing." teen Jason said, "Just a bunch of idiots that decided to assert dominance."
Sohee frowned, "Jason..."
"Relax, the teachers pulled them off before I did anything." he said, "I ain't getting into fights just when I joined the Judo club, my instructor will remove me."
Sohee sighed, "Good." She said as she patted his cheek, "Hey, how about we go to the theater? This new movie came out, I wanna go and watch it!"
teen Jason frowned, "If it's a horror one, I ain't interested." He said, "You get all scared and tightly clutch my arm while you cry. Besides, the jumpscares are so predictable and cliche...."
Sohee frowned again, "Oh, don't be like that!" She said, "This new one will definitely get you!"
Teen Jason shrugged, "Doubt it." He said, "Besides, I got homework...maybe during the weekend."
"Promise?" she asked
"Yea." He replied
They then walked away as Sohee tried to hold his hand but teen Jason just shyly pulled his away as if he didn't want to be seen with his mom holding his hands.
Mavis looked at Jason, who merely watched this, "So..." She started
"I guess...for a time...." Jason said, "We were happy."
The memory switched again. This time they were at an arena with a crowd full of people, in the center was a mat where teen Jason stood, wearing a gi over another person, who laid on his back.
A man, wearing an official's uniform, raised Jason's hand into the air.
"The Winner and Champion of The Tournament: Jason Ahn!!!" a loudspeaker announced
The crowd cheered on as teen Jason showed no reaction. Some other officials walked over to Jason as they put a medal on him and handed him a massive trophy and some flowers.
Suddenly, Sohee walked up as she was crying.
"That's my baby~!!" She cried as she lifted a camera, "Lemme take a picture!!"
The Officials moved out the way as Sohee pointed the camera at Jason who was frowning slightly, a bit embarrassed at his mother crying with joy.
The camera then flashed as Sohee cried, "Ohhh!!!" She cried, "My son is a champion!"
One of the officials laughed, "He dominated the tournament." He said, "Each of his matches were 2 seconds long!"
Another one nodded, "yea, his strength and skill befit an emperor." He said, "He's the 2-Second Emperor."
The other official frowned, "Don't suddenly give him a cheesy nickname." He said
Sohee nodded, "Yes! The 2-Second Emperor!!" She cried, "He'll be the strongest!"
Mavis and Jason watched as Sohee ran up to Teen Jason and hugged him tightly as teen Jason frowned and looked away.
Mavis smiled, "I see." She said, "I don't recognize where this place should be, maybe another continent that has advanced technology."
"No." Jason said, "It's complicated..."
Mavis looked at him, "Oh, I see." She said
Then, the memory shifted again, this time they were in a classrom. This was the exact same memory Jason first had back when he still had Kyoka and Seilah.
He was sitting down as a group of classmates were standing next to me.
"2-Second Emperor? Ha!" one of the teens said, "More like a premature ejaculator, eh?"
They all laughed as Jason ignored them.
One of them slammed his hands on the desk in front of him, "Hey." He said, "Your mom is kinda hot, maybe we should pay her a visit."
Jason then glared at him, "Touch her and you die." He growled with pure venom
In that instant, they all felt a cold shiver in their bodies. They never expected a response like that from a usually neutral and quiet Jason.
The one that told him that then laughed nervously, "Haha...." He said, "As if......let's go, guys...."
Adult Jason walked towards teen Jason and looked at him.
"Hm..." He said to him, "You loved her, didn't you? You hid it, your true nature...."
Mavis looked at him, "What do you mean, Jason?"
"What do you see when you look at this one?" Jason asked Mavis
Mavis looked at teen Jason, "I see you...." she said, "A younger version of the man that saved me."
"Wrong." Jason said, "What sits here in this desk isn't what you think."
Mavis looked at him, "What're you saying?"
"This right here is the result of what you saw earlier." Jason said with distaste, "A convoluted mix of emotions and fucked up thoughts. A Demon...."
Mavis shook his head, "N-No..." She said, "That's a result..."
"Of Sonia." Jason cut her off, "That may be true. But that doesn't change the fact that this kid right here is fucked up in the head."
Teen Jason was clutching his forearm as his eyes were twitching. Mavis noticed his body was shaking slightly, she wasn't sure if it was because of the rage, or something else.
"A boy with a conditioned Oedipal complex, huh?" Jason said, "What a messed up world I used to live in...."
Suddenly, the memory switched again, this time Jason was outside a hospital room. He was looking down at the floor as the doctor stood in front of him.
"I'm sorry, Jason." He said, "They found her on the side of the road, beaten and bloodied..."
"Is she okay?" Jason asked calmly
"She's stable, but the beating was bad." the doctor said, "We'll keep her here for a couple of days, a week at most. But there's something you must know, Jason....."
"What is it?" Jason said
"She....." the doctor said, "she was raped."
Adult Jason walked up to them, clenching his fist, feeling nothing but rage in his body...
"W-what?" Jason said, "They....."
Teen Jason clenched his fists, "Who did?"
"We don't know." the doctor said, "The police are still investigating it....I'm sorry."
The doctor then walked away.
Mavis walked up to adult Jason as he looked at his teen self.
"Jason...." she said
"Those bastards..." Jason said
Teen Jason wiped some tears off his face as he walked inside the hospital room.
The memory then switched again, this time they were in a house where Jason sat in the kitchen table. In front of him was a familiar woman, this time she had short blonde hair.
"Jason..." Sonia said as teen Jason didn't look at her in the face, "I'm sorry to hear what happened...."
"Mhm.." teen Jason said
Sonia sighed, "I'm sorry, son.."
"Shut up." teen Jason spat, "I'm not your son."
Sonia looked at him with a surprised face, "Jason..."
"A mother doesn't do those things to her son." teen Jason said without even looking at her, "Because of you, I'll forever be fucked up in the mind..."
"Look, I'm...." Sonia said
"I can't look at my actual mother without having those thoughts...." Teen Jason continued, "I hate myself because of that. And it's because of you."
Sonia frowned sadly, "I....."
Teen Jason then glared at her, "If I lose her, I'll blame you forever." He said, "I won't ever forgive you. If the injuries those fuckfaces gave her end up being enough for her to die, It's on you! All because I never had the balls to fucking beat them for even mentioning her! I didn't do it to protect her! I was to fucking weak! I was so weak! Because of you, I lost my sister! I didn't fight back hard enough because of the fear you imprinted on me! If I lose my mother because of my weakness, I'll never forgive you, Sonia."
Teen Jason clenched his fists as tears rolled down his cheeks. Sonia merely looked at this with a shocked look on her face.
Mavis and Jason watched this, Mavis had tears in her eyes as she covered her mouth.
"I should kill them..." teen Jason said softly
Before any of them said anything, they heard a loud thud upstairs.
Adult Jason looked up with a panicked look on his face, "No...." He uttered
Mavis looked up as well, "What was that?"
Teen Jason and Sonia rushed upstairs, Mavis and Jason following them. Teen Jason opened the door to a room and froze as he widened his eyes in pure horror.
"M-Mom?" He said as he looked at the most horrific sight
Sonia walked in and also widened her eyes in horror, "S-Sohee!!" she said
They both watched as Sohee's lifeless body hanged on a rope. Mavis and Jason saw this and they were also both horrified.
Jason began to shake as tears formed in his eyes, "N-No..."
Mavis covered her mouth, "Oh...no.." She said softly
Suddenly, the memory shifted again, this time, they were in an alleyway, in the middle of the night.
Mavis noticed as the body of an unconscious teenager laid in front of her. She was still taken aback by the sudden sight of Sohee's body. Jason, too, was shocked as he still shook.
They both then heard a massive thud and a loud scream.
"S-Stooopp!!!" they heard a teenager shout
They looked up to see dozens of unconscious bodies on the floor, severely beaten and bloodied. At the end of the alley, Teen Jason was beating up a teenager, his fists covered in blood.
One of the teenagers looked at this in horror, "S-Someone stop him!"
Teen Jason was still punching the unconscious body of the boy who threatened to pay his mother a visit.
"it was you, wasn't it, you fucker?" Teen Jason said, "I'll fucking kill you. Before that, I'll give you a taste of the pain you inflicted on my mother. I'll make sure you experience hell here before I sent you down there!!"
Mavis was looking at this in pure shock, not knowing how to react to this.
Adult Jason had his fists clenched as he gritted his teeth. Mavis saw this and felt nothing but pure anger from him.
"Kill him...." Jason hissed, "Do it....."
He began to shed tears as he shook violently. Emotions running rampant, rage, sadness, despair, all of those emotions, Jason couldn't exactly hone in on one.
The memory then switched, Jason was then in a police station, sitting in front of a desk with cuffs on him.
In front of him, a middle-aged man wearing glassed looked at him with a grim face.
"I heard of something like this years ago..." the officer said, "A young boy beat up a group of older kids shortly after his sister suffered an accident."
Teen Jason was looking down without saying a word.
"And now..." the officer continued, "We got an even bloodier case. A dozen or more students, all beaten to an inch of death. They're all in comas."
Teen Jason still didn't say anything.
The officer sighed, "I'll do you this one favor, son." He said taking his glasses off, "Sohee was a close friend of mine. As soon as she moved back here, I promised myself I'll look after her and her kid. And here you are, son, in a real pickle."
Teen Jason kept staring at the floor.
"Leave town, Jason." the officer said, "It's the only way I can help you. Those kids, they were the ones who raped your mother. It's infuriating, it really is. There's....photographic evidence.....all of them....had their way with your mother.....I cannot begin to imagine what kind of pain she endured...."
Teen Jason slowly looked up at him, "I should've finished the job..." He said with venom
The officer looked at him, realizing that his words were true. He also noticed that there was nothing but pure anger in Jason's eyes.
He sighed, "I know, son." He said, "But we cannot go and take lives as we like."
"It'll keep us from being human."
