Speechless.
That is what the King, his daughter, and their guard were. Speechless. They witnessed an incredible exchange between two individuals that were on a strength level they were not used to seeing. To them, Mard Geer was a being capable of dismantling their imperial guard and the Garou Knights.
And they witnessed a man, whom they did not recognize, appear and fight Mard Geer at an equal level. He had forced the demon to unleash his strongest form in a matter of minutes. It was something they had no words for.
And now, they witnessed Jason and Mard Geer disappear without a trace. They're forms being sucked in by a distortion in space.
Jason opened the Spatial Domain of his and took both himself and the Demon into it.
They both appeared in the middle of a battle-ridden field, filled with smoke and blood. The sun was slowly setting on the horizon, only about an hour of fully descending and tagging in the moon.
Mard Geer looked around the field with a confused face. He was unsure of what had happened. He looked over to Jason who was on his knees and clutching his wound. The thorny vine spear had disappeared, leaving an open hole in the stomach.
The Demon couldn't help but feel a serious feeling of unease. As if here in a place where he didn't belong. The entire battlefield reeked of magic power and curse power. As if the two were mixed into the concoction that was the Spatial Domain.
"What is this?" Mard Geer demanded, "What did you do?"
Jason looked at him and gave him a sly smirk, "This...." He said as he slowly straightened up, "This is the gift Kyoka and Seilah gave me after I bedded them.."
Mard Geer raised an eyebrow, "Come again?"
Jason chuckled as he clenched his fists, "You heard that right." He said, "Welcome to my Domain. The Bloodied Field of The Primordial Battle. You're now deadlocked in a battle to the death. There is no escape."
"A Spatial spell?" Mard Geer said, "In that case, I'll simply break free. Your spatial spells will prove no match to my curse power!!"
Suddenly, Jason appeared in front of him, hitting him in the stomach with a vicious kick.
"Gahh!!" Mard Geer yelled out in pain as he was sent flying back
The demon stopped himself with the help of his large wings. He clutched his stomach, feeling serious pain. Jason was still in Obliteration Style mode, so his attacks were dealing an insane amount True Damage.
Mard Geer then saw that Jason was still wounded, with blood pouring out of the hole.
He smirked, "You think you can keep fighting with those wounds?!?!" He said waving both his hands at him, "You're truly arrogant, Human!!!!"
Sending a huge wave of thorny vines, Mard Geer set his attack on Jason.
Jason wiped his blood from his mouth and merely slowly walked forward. Getting hit by a near-endless barrage of sharp and poisonous thorns, Jason still walked. The thorns were causing massive cuts and gashes, blood spewing out everywhere.
"You fool." Mard Geer said, "You'll die at that rate!!!"
Jason gave Mard Geer a vicious look, akin to a beast. This unsettled the demon, who was feeling an unknown emotion. One that He hadn't felt in centuries.
"If it's just pain....." Jason said as he walked through the onslaught, "I will not stop."
He raised his arm and snapped it.
"Life Return."
Suddenly, his wounds began to close as quickly as they were being created.
Mard Geer widened his eyes, "Regeneration?" He said, "What kind of spell is that???"
Jason the lunged past the wave of thorns and rushed at Mard Geer, hitting him several times with a barrage of kicks and punches. The immense shockwaves caused by the Obliteration Style were enough to send the demon reeling backward.
Before Mard Geer could recover, the ground trembled. The air began to distort.
"What?" Mard Geer said
"I timed it right." Jason said as his wounds still regenerated
Suddenly, a large spectral spear appeared out of nowhere and struck Jason in the stomach.
Jason buckled over and blood spewed out of his mouth.
"What?!" Mard Geer said completely shocked, "He was wounded? By what?!"
Jason then pulled the spear out and threw it to the side, his wound regenerating.
"Every minute, either of us will be randomly hit by a sure-hit attack. No matter what you do, you'll be hit by it." He said
"Randomly?" Mard Geer said, "Hahaha!! You fool! You were hit by your own spell?!? How ridiculous and stupid is that?! An attack that has the risk to hit its own caster isn't a viable one!!"
Jason looked at him, "I told you." He said, "I time it right."
Mard Geer saw as his entire body had regenerated its wounds. He widened his eyes in surprise.
"What?" He said, "What kind of powerful regeneration spell is that?"
Then, Jason lunged at him, hitting him in the stomach with a fierce punch.
"Dragon's Cursed Fajin."
Mard Geer spewed blood out of his mouth as the punch connected. Jason had struck him with a variation of the Dragon's Fajin. A powerful punch that required the careful manipulation of magic power to be released in a seriously explosive manner at the same time of striking.
However, this specific move did not use Magic Power.
Mard Geer took a step back and saw that Jason's body was covered in black markings. He also sensed that his magic power was gone.
"This..." He said, "This is impossible!"
He sensed an immense amount of Curse Power emanating from Jason.
"Curse Power?" Mard Geer said as he clutched his stomach, "How can a mere human wield Curse Power?!"
"Curse of The Sealed God." Jason said, "After Life Return's negative effects activate, I can replace my magic power with Curse Power, making me akin to a Filthy Demon."
Mard Geer then waved his hand, summoning more thorns and sent them at Jason. Jason merely dodged them and rushed at Mard Geer.
Mard Geer blocked an attack from Jason, almost buckling to the immense power behind it. He then pushed Jason away and punched him, hitting him in the forearms as Jason blocked the attack. This sent Jason reeling back.
"It's almost the minute mark..." Mard Geer muttered under his breath, "I must think of a way to avoid the sure-hit attack."
Mard Geer then raised his arms up.
"Prison Flower!!!"
Suddenly, a massive yellow flower erupted from the ground. Jason widened his eyes in surprise as it began to bloom.
The ground began to shake, signaling the next sure-hit.
The flower then bloomed, ejecting out a large figure. The air began to distort as Mard Geer rushed towards Jason.
"What is he planning?!" Jason muttered under his breath as he readied a defensive stance
Jason then saw as the figure that was ejected from the flower was a demonized Jiemma Orland, MInerva's father. He was taken aback by this and watched as multiple spectral swords pierced through him.
Then, without warning, Mard Geer hit Jason with a devastating lariat, sending him flying backward and causing a massive shockwave that shattered the ground.
Mard Geer then flew up in the air, "Kukuku!!" He laughed as he looked down at Jiemma who was buckled over, "I intended to use this one to fight the Fairy Tail mages, but he proved useful in another way. With him here, the odds of avoiding the sure-hit have increased in my favor."
He then widened his eyes as Jiemma suddenly disappeared.
"What?" He said
"The Laws of the Universe must always be followed." Jason's voice was heard from the cloud of dust, "That includes here too."
Mard Geer looked at Jason who dispersed the dust away, "What are you saying?"
"Only you and I are in the deadlock." He said, "Anyone else is ejected out of the domain. Those are the rules. You got lucky with that sure-hit attack, it was meant for you. It only hit him because the domain prioritized the foreign invader, like an immune system targeting a virus."
Jason then launched himself at Mard Geer, appearing in front of him in an instant. This caused the demon to be surprised.
Jason then grabbed the demon by the arm and collar.
"I wonder if you can withstand this." He said,
"The Emperor's Cursed Throw."
In an instant, Jason used an arm throw to launch Mard Geer straight to the ground, causing a massive shockwave that completely shattered the ground. The Demon spewed blood out of his mouth as he yelled out in utter pain.
"Aghhghhh!!!" Mard Geer yelled out
Jason then landed on the crater caused and readied another attack.
"Cursed-" Jason started before he noticed something, "Huh?"
He looked to his right and saw a massive thorny vine spear shoot straight at his head. Reflexively, Jason moved his head out of the way but the spear was able to take a good chuck out of his cheek.
"Fuck!" Jason said as he stumbled, "Cheeky bastard!"
Mard Geer then jumped up and punched Jason in the stomach, his fist covered in briars, created by his Curse.
"Gahh!!" Jason grunted as blood spewed out
Mard Geer then stepped back and waved his hand, sending a wave of thorns to hit Jason. The wave hit Jason and sent him flying back. He hit the ground hard as the thorny vines wrapped around him and raised him into the air.
"Your Curse power is nothing but physicality!" Mard Geer said, "It is no match for my actual Curse spells, centuries of refinement and improvement is what allowed me to become the strongest Demon, Second to my Master!!"
Mard Geer then raised his other arm, causing several pillars of thorns to erupt from the ground.
"You, Human, fought well." He said, "But it is I, Mard Geer, that'll prove superior. Someone as emotionally weak as you stands no choice against someone like Mard Geer."
Jason looked at him with a scowl, "Huh?"
Mard Geer looked around, "Hm..." He said, "I was sure the minute mark has passed. Maybe this domain is growing weaker....well, no matter. As I was saying...."
Jason struggled to release himself from the vines but they constricted on him further.
"What the hell are you saying?!?" Jason said
"Someone who requires the false emotions of a rewritten demon of Zeref cannot hope to steel himself and defeat I, The Underworld King." Mard Geer said as the pillars began to glow orange, "You are empty inside, Human. Your pain, nobody loved you, and nobody probably will. So you wished for Kyoka and Seilah to do so...."
Veins popped in Jason's forehead as he gave Mard Geer a vicious death glare.
He then released a powerful shockwave of curse power, freeing himself from the thorns. He landed on the ground and raised his left foot up.
"Cursed Earthquake Stomp!!!"
He stomped the ground, causing a massive earthquake and shaking the air. The stomp shattered the ground beneath them.
"No matter!" Mard Geer said as he jumped up into the air, "My attack will hit you regardless!!!"
"Underworld's Great Thorn Divide!!!"
Suddenly, the massive pillars of thorn shot straight at Jason who readied a defensive stance. All of the pillars hit him, creating a massive shockwave that shattered the ground even further.
Then, the ground began to shake and the air distorted.
"Huh?" Mard Geer said as he felt a spectral spear pierce him, "What?!"
He coughed up blood as he clutched the spear.
"Impossible." He managed, "The minute marked had passed a while ago! Did the spell misfire?"
He also felt immense pressure coming from where the attack had hit Jason, the massive thorns pillars were still in place, merely curved downward to the ground where Jason stood.
Suddenly, they were obliterated.
"Obliteration Style: Omni-Direction Cannons."
Jason was standing, covered in his crimson aura. He had used his Obliteration Style to punch the thorn pillars away. He was still covered in wounds and blood.
He then looked past Mard Geer and chuckled.
"Why do you laugh?" Mard Geer demanded
"You know how I said the laws of the universe must be followed here?" He said
"What of it?" Mard Geer said
"There are exceptions." Jason said as he patted some dirt off his tattered shirt, "This is my domain after all, the rule will more than likely be in my favor one way or the other."
"What are you going about?" Mard Geer said as he summoned thorns in midair
Jason pointed past him, "The sun is fully set." He said, "Time can be convoluted sometimes. When we first started, it looked like it needed a full hour for it to be fully set. And the sure-hit skipped a minute mark. This means the domain decided to end things quickly, I think."
"And what of it?" Mard Geer said preparing to launch an attack
"I didn't say it, did I?" Jason said, "When the sun fully sets, we're both ejected. With serious injuries at that."
Mard Geer widened his eyes, "You-"
Suddenly, the entire domain collapsed. And both Jason and Mard Geer were ejected out and appeared in the throne room, in the middle of the air.
Both of them landed on the ground, covered in severe cuts and gashes, blood pouring out.
Mard Geer clutched his shoulder, "You..." He managed
The King, His daughter, and his guard merely looked at this with shocked faces.
Speechless. They were all speechless at what just unfolded.
Jason slowly stood up and smiled slightly, "Let's keep going." He said as he wiped blood of his face,
"The fun's just beginning!"
