Marco Chacon

this is great stuff. I am just getting started on MidJourney. Your insights are really valuable.

Valics Lehel

I would like one :-) Discord: Ratamahatta#7470

Chipp Walters

I should have a video for you shortly.

Chipp Walters

I'm already subscribed to midjourney but I'm sure there are others here that would like an invitation.

Mark Saunders

Thanks for the insight Chipp, I'm still waiting for a midjourney invite but I've a feeling I'm way down the list, I was tempted by Disco Diffusion but once I saw the install guides and the problem folks had in the comments, I got cold feet. I'll look forward to a video if you ever get around to it :)

Sorry Midjourney.com

Dude you HAVE to check out Midhourney. I would be glad to send you an invite. Bought the $600 Enterprise version, it's like having a staff of psychotic artists on staff cheap. Half awesome half crazy, but smokes Colab. ping me at DaStreamCatcher on Twatter.

Oh yeah, also you can create private prompts but you have to pay extra for it. I think it's only a few dollars a month though.

Another issue with them is the fact that you don't own what you create either and they want a percentage of anything that you make if you turn it into an NFT. That said, I'm not a big NFT fan.

Ted Milker

So what? You don't own the terms you come up with and there's only a finite number of them if you get a little specific. I can see a huge pushback in a few years from artists whose works these AI generators are based on though.

One thing I absolutely despise about Midjourney is that unless you outright pay 600$ for their annual "corporate" plan, whatever you generate seems to go into a gallery that anyone with a paid plan can consult and see exactly what you prompted to get a final image. During my experience with its free 200 images trial, what I saw is just peeps outright taking the exact same prompt as the one I made and used only that prompt to death without ever experimenting on their own which turns the whole thing into a frustrating experience. In my eyes, it takes the minuscule amount of "art" left in the process to zero and turns into a giant plagiarism farce which is a shame because it can be such an efficient tool to generate quick and qualitative ideas.

I wait to get also an invite to midjourney :-) I hope I will get it one day.
