AI Image Generators: My Take in 3 min
🕑 Added 2023-11-14 00:09:57 +0000 UTCHey folks, been meeting to do something like this for a bit now and took the opportunity while I was away to consolidate some thoughts. It's very disturbing how DALL-E has become more and more the evil empire of AI image generators. It automatically adds prompts to make things politically correct and now it has removed any ability to try and create any image that references anybody, anything, any subject. It's gotten the point where it's pretty much useless for image generation. Not to mention the bias in chat GPT is also documented and quite significant these days.
Anyway, I'm still subscribed to it and still play around with DALL-E at times but there are other better solutions that I'm using. Here's a quick 3-minute rundown.

I've played with Leonardo.ai. I'm not overly taken with it. MJ's style continues to be superior to most of the available stable diffusion overlays (and you can use the raw mode if you don't want it). MJ's new ability to create custom styles looks interesting as well.

It allows you to pick from different models, adjust results easily, upload images for guidance, and lots of tweakable settings. It also has AI canvas where you can draw a prompt. Also, a Texture generator for 3D models (which I haven't yet tried). They keep adding features. The free version has plenty of credits to use most features.
