The PayPal situation

Some of you on Discord already know this, but I'm in a bit of a pickle. For the past several days, PayPal has put a complete block on my account for no apparent reason, meaning that I can't send or transfer money in any way. They claim this is an automatic security measure caused by "unauthorized access" to my account, even though I've provided the necessary personal details and 2-factor authentication several times to prove I'm the owner of the account.
The worst part is that my Patreon income for last month was transferred to my PayPal account before I knew about the block. That means that the game's entire budget for this month is currently locked away with no way for me to access it. What's even more troubling is that this is also the income I rely on to pay my bills, and PayPal has completely locked it away from me.
I've been talking with PayPal's customer service all day (when I need to be working on Chapter 2) and they have offered absolutely no real solution other than "just wait a few more days and try again".
I've already changed my Patreon settings to transfer all future income directly to my bank; but due to this PayPal snafu, I currently have no budget and no way to pay our artists, actresses, etc. Obviously, this is a huge roadblock for the game, and will halt production of new assets until either A) PayPal decides to let me access my money, or B) I get my next Patreon payout in early December.
So that's where we're at. I have no access to the project budget, and no income for this month. I'm frustrated, worried, and exhausted.
I'm going to continue working on Chapter 2 as hard as I can, but please understand that this situation is taking up a lot of my time and energy right now, and as a result my productivity has taken a hit.
I'm genuinely sorry for the clusterfuck this past month or so has been. It's stressing me the fuck out, and I hope it will be over soon so we can get back to normal. I owe you guys a huge update, and despite the setbacks lately, I promise you I will have it finished as soon as humanly possible.
In the meantime, I completely understand if you want to pause your pledge until this matter is resolved. I'll let you know as soon as things are back to normal, and more than ever, thank you for your continuing support.

This is why I don't like PayPal. They pulled this stuff with me a year or two ago. It turned out to be nothing.

Yep. We've come full circle. The """""security""""" has become more of a problem than the """""threats""""" it's supposed to curtail. My Reddit ccount has been hacked by about fifteen thousand Russians, if my email is anything to go by. I can still log into the account, but I can't verify the email address, because they changed the email before the account was suspended for """""suspicious activity""""" and apparently you can't change it while it's suspended. So the account is dead and I can do precisely jack about it. I don't even use the thing, so I'm not too bothered, but that doesn't make it any less stupid. Just like how this text box keeps scrolling up every time I start typing so I can't see what I'm writing. F U T U R E

Hey Dev, no worries. I think you may be the one stressing the most over it. It is just a bad situation out of your control, try not let it get the best of you. PayPal is just inherently crap, I have had innumerable issues with them in the past and thus don't use them anymore unless I absolutely have to, I know your pain.

Thank you, I really appreciate it. And yeah, fuck PayPal. I still have to use it because it's the preferred method of payment for most artists and voice actresses, but there's no way I'm ever letting them handle my income again lol.

Hope this get resolved soon brotha. PayPal did that to one of my account's as well and since then I've just all of stopped using PayPal for anything. I myself just got money to be able to pledge and have no interest in stopping my pledge to you until this project is 100% completed. Love the game so far, the care and passion you have for it, keep up the good work but don't work yourself to death for it man. Love ya <3

Sorry you're having this problem, hope you can sort it out soon. I know from experience how annoying companies like PayPal can be.
