June billing cycle paused & 6 attempts this month

各位...!十分抱歉，這個月無法如期送上插畫獎勵，因此我決定取消六月份的結帳週期，意即各位若在五月或更早便加入會員，本專頁不會向各位收取六月份的贊助金額。經過四月的教訓，我不會再麻煩大家重新贊助什麼的。
Here is why I can't finish the illustration in May. I have been focusing on adjusting the approach to design the forms which are 'compatible' to the rendering. I make several attempts and decide to pick 6 of them to show you every obstacle I've encountered:
接著來分享一些沒能成功的過程Orz總之目前卡在「如果從光影開始畫起，就會很難控制型體」或是「如果從線稿畫起，那麼加上光影後就會發現線稿有很多解剖/比例、甚至是構圖上的問題」。到底該如何起步變成了目前極需解決的首要難題。
- A: I thought the sketch should be thorough enough so I straight up rendering with values. This method is similar to a practice I did in 2018 July. Though this time I have a detailed sketch to help me designing the forms, I then realized that the sketch itself has anatomy/proportion problems and the composition is not a good choice for rendering with values.
一開始想說線稿已經夠完整，所以就直接鋪上光影，去年七月的某張練習曾使用類似的方式渲染光影。但加上光影後立刻發現解剖/比例/構圖上有許多問題。 - B: Trying to shading with simplified values and fixing the anatomy/proportion problems. I found it is too hard to fix this way and then decided to switch to doing other smaller practices and find a better way of sketching/shading.
利用簡化的灰度，嘗試一邊畫上陰影、一邊修改解剖/比例的問題，但還是覺得問題難以修正，需要乾脆砍掉重練。
- C-D: Using flat shape brushes for sketching/shading and giving it thin values. It's actually very hard to draw with flat shape brushes. I am not 100% sure if this is a bad approach though, probably will give it another try in June.
利用扁頭筆刷一邊打稿、一邊加入少許的陰影，接著再塗上薄薄一層灰度。這手法的主要問題是：扁頭筆刷超級難控制。很容易卡在某個地方刻上兩小時結果發現還是要重畫。
- E: Trying to render a drawing I did in January. For some reasons I found it's very hard to finalize it. Probably because I put too much light/values on the canvas but the forms and focus are still obscure.
把一月時畫的插畫抓出來加上光影。不知為何發現非常難繼續完稿，很可能是光影過度主導整張畫面，造型本身還是不夠確切，導致很難整理出一個視覺焦點。 - F: Using similar method I did in March. It's not totally unfinishable, but I still make poor shape/form choice during the process.
使用今年三月時用過的某招起稿。雖說似乎有可能繼續完稿，但形狀很容易抓走樣，後續整個繪畫過程變成只是在修正問題、整個型體欠缺設計感。
I still have some ideas to test out in June and hopefully I can finally get a good rendering result. If not, I will change my monthly plan and goals, probably switch to only focus on doing concepts/comics. To think on the bright side, I can update more frequently if only doing drawings. 😅 Thank you all for your patience!
我會繼續測試幾個畫法，假如無法在六月得到比較滿意的結果，我將會調整本專頁的獎勵和目標，可能會改成以漫畫與概念設計為重心，往好處想是能更快上來做更新(汗)總之我會再給畫灰階這個目標一個月的時間！

Thank you so much! I feel guilty for not being active enough this month. I hope to gain pledges from you all reasonably so delievering reward is a must, if not I'll need to at least make compensation for it and pausing the billing cycle is probably the easiest thing to do when time is running out. 😅
I don't think you need to pause even when you aren't deliver anything for the month, your tier are just so "small" that I don't mind to support you even in less productive (I mean, for the patreon page at least!) month :* Take care and enjoy your time <3
