If you could find a way to watch it, the 2003 Full Metal Alchemist hits much harder until a certain moment in the series, then continuing with Brotherhood to complete it would be the best way to get the most from both series

Watching this ep for the first time was one of the most uncomfortable and sad I've ever been watching a show. I had to take a break from anime for a couple weeks 😭 I hate Shou Tucker! 😭😭😭

Id recommend checking out the episodes of the Nina and shou tucker arc from the original series if you wanna feel even worse, if at least in your own time. You spend much more time with them and it's heartbreaking

This is why Shou Tucker has always been in the running for worst father in anime despite only appearing briefly in an episode (recurring in the OG adaptation).
