That's why Subaru is my MC! 🥳 lessgo. Subaru and Emilia have come so far from who they were in the previous season as much stronger people. I loved Season 3 for showcasing that personal growth in action.

Yeah in fact he has managed to do things Reinhard hasn't, leading campaigns to defeat not only 1 of the 3 great Mabeast (actually 2 but the second is only confirmed by people from his camp) but also most importantly leading a successful battle against the Witch cult slaying a Sin archbishop. Even Reinhard can't say he has done either of that, he might be more famous for being a walking strategic weapon but for this specific situation Subaru has the greater applicable feats.

We actually saw in the previous episodes that Subaru has become world famous in the last year. So he actually is the perfect person for the job.

People HAVE heard of Subaru though. They’ve made a point of that a few times this season with Lilana reciting his big achievements and Wilhelm saying that his name has spread far. He’s no Reinhardt, but he’s definitely a legend at this point.
