About the cake scene, Prez is right. Jun said his mom is getting home late that night, so he suggested going to Tomo's house as her mom was there. He's conscious of her now that he sees her as a girl, and is afraid to be alone with her. It was not a problem before, as he invited her to sleep at his house and play videogames when his mom was not home either.
