I watched this a decade ago when it first aired. It’s still one of my all time favorites. I’m so glad you guys watched it and it’s been an emotional rewatch. It’s a show that’s so poetic and emotional; it feels like a dream where you’re reminiscing about someone. What gets me is how the show is written like they’re writing letters to each other but never giving it to each other until the very end. When the meaning behind the title was revealed in Kaori’s letter along side her confessing, it was so cathartic; knowing that the feelings Kousei had for her were more than reciprocated and it was all carefully planned for him. On a rewatch you do catch so many little things about Kaori’s lie. Like it’s obvious that she was waiting for Kousei and not Watari. Also those tiny cryptic notes on each halftime card makes more sense too.

I love this show every time I watch it. You don't have to rewatch it again soon, or even next year, or you can rewatch it with another reactor lol. It hits the same on every rewatch for me.

The scene with the cat at the end of episode 20, and Kosei’s “Goodbye” at the intermission of episode 22 will always make me well up. Also, so many of the scenes from the earlier episodes will hit you differently after seeing the whole show.
