Pretty sure the author has said they actively try to see what they can get away with for the sake of a gag. It definitely gets a little out there sometimes, you just gotta take it even less seriously than the show takes itself. Luckily, we have girlfriends like next girl who really helps to strike a balance against all the degen antics. Episode 3 does a good job of showing that 100GFs isn't all gags/degen... Just mostly!
