Prez, to answer your question, yes that is an actual outline of the girls at the 2:30 mark. And it's an outline of All the girls to date in the Manga (like 33 I believe). What is even cooler is the girls that are being introduced in Season 2 have black outlines, while those who are not getting introduced yet have a grey outline. The reason why I think this is is the outline above Karane that is greyed out is of GF 21. Who would not be introduced until like season 4 or 5 if they keep going at the rate of GFs per season.

Season 2 is heeeeeeeere!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The first half was the next chapter in the manga after season 1 ended. The stuff about season 2 and how long it's been is anime-only, but the whole Freaky Friday situation was in the manga. I think Prez might enjoy this season more just from the jokes alone. Also, What are your favorite foods?

So many people I watch react to this talk about how "We're just gonna focus on the couple of important ones and the rest will become background characters." They aren't wrong... they become background characters. But they're also explicitly wrong. Every character, somehow, gets just as much screen time as all of the others - unless its the episode they get literally introduced in. And they do that with the AMAZING background interactions. Like genuinely, I encourage everyone to just re-watch the show, and pay attention to the BACKGROUND of the scenes with all of the girls in them. Because you'll get a KICK out of some of the hilarious stuff that's happening behind the "Focus" of the camera. S1 did this as well. But S2 REALLY REALLY makes it feel like all of the girls that aren't directly in focus are actually DOING SOMETHING and not just "Existing".
