Source reader here. There's a part that got left out of the anime that really speaks to how the Hunter's attack force treats its members including the porter: After they enter the dungeon the healer sees Sung is nervous and reassures him that he'll be fine. She says "If the mage gets attacked, the tankers are responsible, if the healer is attacked, the attack force is responsible, and if the porter is attacked, then the guild is responsible" which is basically interpreted as "You will only be attacked if the guild made the mistake of sending hunters not strong enough to clear the gate because the whole force will be wiped out." Sick line that I'm sad they left out, great ep regardless

Each episode just get better and I am so pumped for the next episode! Also, this group was so kind and caring compared to the other groups Jinwoo has been with. Instead of being bait, being used, mocked, or worse.. this group was so caring and showed more concern toward him getting out than anyone else has. I love it.

I think the lower ranks are mostly in it for the hustle/so they can make money. The higher ranks do not have to worry about money so they get to be in it for the game and the more noble ideals (like closing the gate to keep people safe)

Not a source reader so this is just speculation. I think the reason Jinwoo didn't help more openly might just come down to legal reasons. The Hunters Guild owns that gate, and by extension every resource inside it so him killing the Orcs openly would have equated to him stealing from them even though it would save the Raid Team's lives. The only Orc he outright killed was the one that he used Rulers Hand to decapitate using the maid mage's snake to do so thereby not *technically* killing it himself.
