I think most school buildings in anime are modelled after real schools (usually private schools because I assume the bureaucracy is simpler), this one is modelled after Jishukan High School in Toyohashi, an ex-student there has a YouTube channel and she briefly talked about seeing her school in an anime (she also went around Toyohashi Station showing off some of the scenes from the OP, I’ll link the video in a reply if I find it). As this series goes on I think the Toyohashi references and product placements get less and less subtle, and I don’t see that as a bad thing. I just wish they spoke the local dialect rather than just sounding like Tokyo like every other TV show.
