That's actually the core reason for why, when she acts so adorable after accepting the teddy bear, he thinks "that was close!" and is clearly annoyed with himself for having the brief thought of headpating her like she was his girlfriend. Because he knows the boundary has been very clearly defined. They're relationship is built on the trust that neither of them are going to be inappropriate.

For this series unlike others it makes sense to be a slow burn: Remember the hole prerequisite for her coming over to cook is that she doesn’t see him as a “threat”, she set that boundary, so now even if he develops feelings he can’t just hit on her and put her in an uncomfortable position. If I were in his shoes I would feel guilty if I did.
