(show shows Ant King Aura bursting into the sky) Cara: Are they not seeing this? 5 min later. Cara: Meruem feeling a bit underwhelming here though. I knew they were bad at knowing how Anime visualizes aura/power and strength but thinking that was some kind of light show and then saying they made him look underwhelming just because of the character design (i assume) is crazy. And yeah, I realize they (especially Cara because she's "new" to anime) are watching anime very very surface level. Saying "this is giving very Chimera Ant" like 10 times just because the common enemy are ants, is completely dumbing down what the hxh Chimera Ant Arc really is about as well as the Jeju island arc.

Something I just want to bring up for future reference is that a lot of the story from now will probably have international characters which requires interpreters like we have with the Japanese hunters. So just keep in mind a lot of these characters can’t actually understand each other and are going on vibes

Responding to what Cara said at the end, jeju island was more of a plot device rather than a proper arc in my opinion. Which is why they didn’t really hype it up too much. The manwha took its time slightly but there was still barely any hype up. Not sure about the novel tho. It might also have to do with the fact that we have an OP main character so in the back of our minds, if something goes wrong we feel like he’ll take care of everything
