because you have to read the subs, which inherently is a worse viewing experience than just being able to listen. that doesn't matter for most anime since the sub is better than the dub. but if the sub version is the same quality (or in rare cases like in this one actively worse) then I don't see any reason to watch sub. that's my opinion at least. if you had fun with the sub and liked it that's great and I am happy for you!

I never understood the criticism about the sub losing the cyberpunk slang. The known cyberpunk slangs are literally in the subtitles. I love both btw. I watched it on sub first and then dub on my second rematch. This war on sub vs dub is dumb imo. Both are great. And since the anime only has 10 episodes, it's easy to rewatch it with either dub or sub. I think every fan should watch both versions. Also, Gloria literally calls David mijo in the subtitles. Anybody who sees that will know they're Latino.

Hell yeah, Cyberpunk 2077 is also my favorite game of all time. I've always felt that prez is a choom. Subbing to patreon for this is already worth it.

one thing I REALLY dislike about the sub is that pretty much EVERY nuance in what they are saying is lost. from the slang that they are using to david and his mom being Latino and thus using some spanish words. all of those little things are (obviously. how would you even implement that in japanese) completely gone

I see that makes sense. I'm just glad to hear you guys arent dropping it. Waiting to watch Re:Zero isnt a bad idea either its better binged anyway in my opinion. Cant wait to see your eventual reactions to it then. This season should be way more action packed then the previous seasons.

It kinda came down to there being other shows we would rather check out right now or get ahead with rather than ReZero S3, especially when November will be big for us with arcane as well

by the way, the reason the subs are so fast is because theyre made for the dub, so the way the words and paced are different to the sub

Nice. Also question do you guys plan on watching Re Zero season 3? If so are you guys gonna watch it week to week as it releases or will you guys wait to finish other shows your reacting too?
