Oikawa could have easily gonna down the same road Kageyama did in high school. The difference is that Oikawa had Iwaizumi and Kageyama had no one. The one thing that Kageyama still has over him though is he is a genius at the sport and Oikawa is not. I love that this show lets you see into the minds of each player and understand them so much better. With the way you see Oikawa acting now you would never guess that he feels so inferior to players like Kageyama and Ushijima. But now that Kageyama finally has friends to back him up like Iwa did in middle school, how much better will he be able to get…?

i empathise with oikawa a lot. if you remember when they had the practice match, oikawa came in late and was asked to stretch thoroughly - at that time, he was coming back from recovering from an injury. poor kid was overworking again.
