Big fan of 6 of these. I like Quintessential Quintuplets, but not enough to watch a second time.

I watched all and all of them are good choices. Personally I would recommend A Sign of Affection, it's just such a feels good anime. Love Story with Yamada and Tomo Chan are also amazing options. I just don't see anything special in Dangers in my Heart, it was meh (Ik super hot take).

Sad to say that's true, lasher840. It's a shame because Toradora really laid the groundwork for some of the best titles since. You still see the echoes of the character writing in Toradora in at least 4 of the titles that made the list.

Dangers in my heart is amazing, but Tomo Chan is awesome and where it leaves off is no cliffhanger and can be a decent conclusion alone.

Fruits is a RomDra with comedic sketches. But yeah, I say it fits the bill about as much as something like Clannad or Toradora does so It's probably fine.

For some strange reason, perhaps because they've only started on the genre less than a year ago, I feel sort of parental about these two. I want to see them get acquainted with the best of all the subgenres and demographics. This is a pretty good lineup for that. Two of the the GOATS for Shojo. Two very different Josai. A good Shonen. One of the best of Harem. Two good examples of audience self insert MC's, which is a valid writing technique. I wish it was one week in the future. A season finale can make or break a title.

A rom-com is a romantic comedy so, yes it isn't JUST a rom-com but it is. So I think it has a place in this poll

I know the choices are fan picked, so absolutely no hate on how or what is picked. Just really wish there was less of a recency bias in the polls. Nearly everything has come out in the last 3 years except Fruits Basket and QQ. Hell, Alya isn’t even done! But I know you prob have a younger or new-to-anime audience. Just hope you get to experience the classics and underrated gems someday.
