I honestly dislike Yamada’s work. The entertainment industry, especially in Asia, sucks a lot (sexual harassment is one of the biggest downsides of this industry; Hollywood got a lot of this, too, not only in Asia). Even in the latest chapters of the manga, her work inevitably becomes a problem. I wish her “thing that she loves” was something else. I am hopeful that the author could make a satisfying conclusion to this aspect of the story, though.

Fresh takoyaki in Japan is like putting lava in your mouth. You gotta rip them open a bit with chopsticks so the insides can cool off a bit. Then you eat them. I did something stupid when I first tried some in Japan, I put the whole thing in my mouth even though I knew it’d be like biting the sun.

It’s not weird. Y’all just have western culture. In eastern culture it’s more of a focus on studying and no distractions type of culture. This is where the stereotype of Asian parents are strict come from because yes they are strict
