Oh, I agree. Not great, but I was entertained. Which is why it's not normally in my suggested list. It's not really romcom, more an attempt to do soap opera comedy. "Damsel in distress" is outdated anyway and role reversal of the sub-genre doesn't make it better. There was once another attempt at that role reversal called Witchcraft Works that attempted to mix in fantasy to make a murky stew. S3 of Kimi ni Todoki will begin with an established couple, but I wouldn't want to spoil.

@23:44 Prez, if you want to see how it goes for an established couple I can only think of one title - "Shikimori is Not Just A Cutie". It wasn't in my suggested list only because of the fact that a strong bond already exists and I think if it more as a role reversal comedy, Still a very entertaining watch. hmmmm, maybe I should add it to my list after all under a category all its own.

Definitely need to watch the 2nd season. It’s not any repeats it’s “moments” the 1st season did have time to show. If for some odd reason you don’t love the show by the end of season one then don’t watch it but if you love it, then season 2 is honestly so fulfilling.

even though I believe season 1 was rushed I still think it was perfect and the best decision. What it's take from the manga didn't actually had any "character dev" In my opinion. it felt just like a "good filler". if you finish season 1 and feel like damn I wish we had more screen time from X character then it's a good option to go for the "second season". Also even after that season, there's some ep from the manga that wasn't added, no more than 5 I would guess.

Season 2 is an absolute necessity. It must be watched. That i love you scene was not a real confession. It was about the hands. I think the sub was wrong
