There's a cool little detail about zoltraak I never see anyone notice. Whenever we see Qual using the spell it's almost pure black, but the altered version Frieren and Fern are using is bright white. I thought it was weird when the spells didn't look the same in Qual's episode and just decided it was because he was a demon and needs to look more sinister. It was really cool to get an actual reason for it in this episode, and learn that Frieren had a big role in developing humanity's demon killing version of the spell.

Now y’all have been introduced to Frieren the Slayer! The English version of the anime/manga is, “Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End” BUT the Japanese version is “Sousou No Frieren” and that’s where it gets interesting. The Japanese name can actually carry multiple meanings. First is roughly “Frieren of the Funeral” which connects to how she outlives those surrounding her and is referred to as an attending-member of a funeral ceremony. SECOND is how Lugner refers to her which is more like “The Funeral, Frieren” referring to someone who brings about funerals. TLDR: Frieren killed so many demons, they straight up called her a grave digger lol
