I always thought that Mao was disgusted by Jinshi because he reminded her of the prostitutes back home who used beauty and seduction to manipulate others, so when he used his beauty to manipulate her she knew how fake he was being and was turned off by it, so in this scene when he touches her it isn’t disgusting, it was a real emotion.

Forgive me if I'm wrong, but I remember Cara being a nurse right? If so, I think it would be cool to hear her input on how Maomao sometimes deal with things. If not, i guess im stupid lol.

The doctor is a nice person, but is quite incompetent. To be a good doctor in this era means to came from a good family, wealthy enough to afford a good education to that high level, so it is very unusual that type of person agree in becoming a eunuch to work as a doctor in the rear palace. Therefore he is the only doctor they could found.
