You might not remember but the way Frieren's replica looks at them is the same stare we see from her when she is hunting down demons back from Episodes 8-10 where we first saw the group fight Aura and her minions. Cold-blooded and ready to kill without an ounce of mercy.

If they are at the bottom of the dungeon, it would mean that the monster summoner crystal thing is more than likely using the strongest thing it can create to defend itself, so i am willing to bet Sense clone not being the last line of defense means she isnt even in the same ballpark as Frieren, when it comes to raw power in the eyes of thing that is creating the clones.

Edel: “An unwelcome side effect of most dungeons having already been cleared…” So Edel is basically saying that a lot of the mages in this time haven’t experienced dungeons such as this, or even at all. Who’s to blame? The party of heroes 😂 They’ve cleared so many dungeons that mages in this time have no experience clearing dungeons at all.
