if you are going to set an expectation like this you really should at least give an update if your not going to meet it. Creating expectations and then meeting them. This is literally the most basic thing you can do to show you respect and appreciate your donors. I understand that life happens and not all deadlines can be met, but if your going to not meet an expectation you have previously set you really need to give an update explaining why the expectation is not being met, otherwise people will be upset and feel disrespected.
