Young Wong Bros Fight - Pre Vis
🕑 Added 2025-08-19 20:21:54 +0000 UTCHere it is! Pre vis of our first fight scene of the movie. Young Danny and Young Dicky get into a fight over who has to take out the trash. Working through choreography, rehearsal, and filming the pre vis took the stunt team about three days to complete.
"Pre vis" is short for pre visualization. It's a way to shoot and cut together a scene (usually action or one with a lot of movement) to help articulate the way a director sees the scene as those more kinetic moments are harder to write out beat for beat. Itβs a clear way to communicate to different departments whatβs needed from them and define the scale of the scene ahead of time. Think moving storyboards cut together.
Fight scenes involve multiple departments and intricate conversations walking through each detail to pull off stunts that require anything from wire work to kid size dummies being thrown down the stairs. On top of that, this fight in particular will be between two kids. There are laws and protections in place when kids are on set so having their time carefully managed is crucial.

the kids fight!!! everything so far keeps building on itself, its so exciting π i was curious how the team would balance vicious and reckless and so far at least it feels familial and intense in the right way. go go go!!
