Patreon devlog update 129: a bit of everything
🕑 Added 2025-02-09 04:25:50 +0000 UTCheyo peeps! the level is getting really sizeable now, and is probably one of the prettiest thing in the game, so we're pretty happy with our work- let me show you what i did this week:
so we needed an animation of zap casting the checkbook spells that wasn't just an user interface element. Given that he has 6 spells and another costume in this level that meant i had to basically make 12 animations, that took basically all of yesterday-
so here we have zap casting the corruption spell
the dispel spell
the harvest spell
the glitch spell
the mind read spell
and the shop spell
i also had to animate him in his alternate costume doing each spell, but i won't bog the post with all those versions, so have him casting just the corruption spell-
tonday i instead went back to the buffet room area to finish it by drawing the sprite and the talk animations for the disgruntled chef who can't figure out what to give the gourmet demon to eat-
there's a game over in this room if you act to eager about all the food the chef cooks, zap will find out what it means to be in "all you an eat" buffet in hell-
aside from that i also worked on the entrance of the temple of sin where moshennik resides and that i showed you in previous posts, there are going to be a couple of frat bros damned here but i still haven't made concepts for them...
mostly because i had to animate the background and for some reason these looping things are always a bitch to make ^_^'

Godddd that mega-fat bad end has me thirsting, but also silently hoping there's a pumped up/inflation bad end too >///>; How did you come up with the imagery for the runes?

Was it intentional for each of Zap's checkbook spells to share similar colors as The BEINGS?
