Patreon devlog update 118: arcade fire
🕑 Added 2024-09-01 03:29:31 +0000 UTCSo as the title hints, this update is mostly focused on the lil mini arcade levels you can access through the "glitch" power. I already shown you how three of them look, and while i mostly focused on the battletoads- like arcade for this update, i managed to start the outrun clone one, it's pretty simple rn , but i plan of add some other small stuff in it, although not sure how to make it sexy...
as for the other arcades i mostly focused on animations.
inflatopia was rather easy to do since that kind of era of gaming didn't require lots of frames to animate the characters.
i animated zap and the lil dragon talking to eachother , and then zap using the signature attack of the game, the inflation wand.
as for what i spent the rest of the week doing ,as i said, i've been mainly animating the battletoad-like arcade game, starting with designing enemies for zap to battle and giving everyone an idle, and animating the bg as well.
now... glitch isn't the only spell zap aquires in this chapter. He also acquires the spell "corrupt! that can be used to push people to sin. and you can use it in the arcade world too, causing the characters of the game to act in unpredictable ways...
