False Virus Warning Notice for Lewd Shores Update
🕑 Added 2025-10-10 04:06:47 +0000 UTCSome users have reported that yesterday’s Lewd Shores build (v0.33) triggered a Windows Defender warning such as “Trojan:Script/Wacatac.B!ml” or “Trojan:Script/Sabsik.FL.A!ml.”
This is not an actual virus. It’s a heuristic false positive from Microsoft Defender. These detections happen occasionally with zipped Unity builds (it last occurred with Snapshot several months ago).
Professional multi-engine scans (for example VirusTotal) confirm the build is 100% clean and safe.
⚠️ How to solve the warning ⚠️
If the browser blocks the download:
Click the small arrow next to the warning in Chrome or Edge.
Choose “Keep” or “Keep anyway” to allow the download.
The file will then appear normally in your Downloads folder.
Don’t have the “keep” option?
Option 1 (recommended):
Use a different browser such as Firefox to download the ZIP. Firefox does not block based on Defender’s heuristic flag.
Option 2:
If you want to stay in Chrome or Edge, temporarily disable SmartScreen just for this download:
Open Windows Security → App & browser control.
Under Reputation-based protection settings, turn off Check apps and files.
Download the file again.
Turn the protection back on afterward.
If Windows Defender flags it after unzipping:
Open Windows Security → Protection history.
Find the blocked file (Snapshot.exe or similar).
Click Actions → Allow on device.
Then extract and launch the game as usual.
Once Microsoft updates their definitions (usually within 1–2 days), the false warning disappears automatically. I will also try a fresh reupload later today.
Thank you for reporting it quickly and for your patience!

100% sure, as windows defender is not checking for this case of vulnerability. The game is an unsigned stand alone Unity build and unfortunately this sometimes triggered that heuristic false positive. I can then report that to MS and it is updated after a while.

Are you sure this isn't related to the recent Unity vulnerabilities that were exposed? Unity has the fix which is why they announced it, but is your code up to date and safe?
