Devlog July (with ch2. sneak peek)
🕑 Added 2025-07-08 01:02:01 +0000 UTCWhen I say the writing retreat I did in June was a whirlwind, I mean it. I’ve ended up with so many little pockets of lore and side stories for our Ro’s (or as I prefer to call it—backstory). I managed to get over a small hurdle in Chapter 2. Not sure how much I wrote total in June, but it’s easily over 10k words.
The demo update (pre-Chapter 2) was meant to be out by now, but I hit a coding snag. The resume button continues to be the bane of my existence. Technically it’s not essential—since the load button works fine—so I might shelve it for now. My goal is still to get all the relationship locks in place before publishing, but with how much coding that’ll take… we’ll see.
I also have a bunch of posts queued up (including backups for Tumblr, just in case).
The summer heat has been brutal, which has at least made it easier to stay indoors and write. I finished the message system where the MC can view, reply to, or send texts. It took a bit of coding since there are variations depending on the choices, but I think it adds a nice bit of flavor. (you can see the choices below.)
Now on to more important Chapter 2 moments. A certain loveable furrball. (If you thougth Ardent... I mean you're not wrong.)
