Sneak Peek (flashback)
🕑 Added 2025-02-06 17:00:05 +0000 UTCI've been writing up a flashback scene of a certain mischief making hot-head back when he was trying to let go of his feelings for his bestie. (When he was with Peri and MC with Chris.) There is a spot where it could fit into Chapter 2 given past choices, but depending on how long Ch. 2 ends up being I might make it a side story bit.
He really leans into the image people have of him. Just a goofy guy, who is like a guard dog when it comes to MC. But there were so many time's when he found himself alone, and felt the pinpricks of tears. Pained by feelings that he tried to bury and feared would ruin the most important relationship in his life.
He always wore his feelings like a second skin—loud, unfiltered, impossible to ignore. But when it came to this, to you, to the way his heart stumbled over itself every time your smile lit up a room, he buried it deep. Especially when that smile was aimed at none other than his $ch_sibling.
To say it hurts would be an understatement. It's agony—like his insides are being shredded apart piece by piece. Still, the thought of telling you, of laying it all bare, only to see your smile falter and your gaze shift away, haunts him. In his head, it always ends the same: you pushing him away.
And no matter how much he knows you care about him, it fit. It always fit. Everyone who had ever ‘cared’ about him eventually tossed him aside, like he was nothing. Like he was trash.
He’d rather let these feelings rot him from the inside out, drag them to the grave if he had to, than risk losing you. Because losing you? That was the one thing he knew he couldn’t survive.
