Better phrasings might be: โDo you really buy that some spoiled high society brat came all the way here just to catch some radicals by herself?โ or โDo you really buy that some spoiled high society brat would come all the way here just to catch some radicals by herself?โ Youโd use a past (perfect?) tense in the first case because Charlotte is already here, meaning she made the trip in the past. As for the second phrasing, I think it would be roughly equivalent to the Spanish subjunctivo, but I never did really learn it. Iโm not entirely sure why โbuyโ and โsomeโ need a โthatโ between themโitโs been a long time since grammar schoolโbut it is grammatically necessary. The closest Spanish equivalent would be โqueโ.
