Good guys appear to have won, I like that. TFTC! aide > aid

Seanfrks

Well, with the fact that you can make pokeballs from Apricorns, you probably aren't too far off.

Ant1h3ld

There is nothing that I loathe more than religious extremism, so kudos for creating a hate-sink like Fjord. Now please don't make the mistake many other authors make of having her outlive (In a metaphorical sense) her use in the story. I want to see actual repercussions for her disruptive and antagonistic behavior and her blatant poképoaching.

Sean

I'm guessing based on how aura is portrayed in this story they're eventually going to discover that poke balls were a gift from Arceus in order to curb humanity's darker impulses. Like if almost all humans have 6 pokemon linked to their aura it's like they're being influenced by 6 pokemons' aura? Causing their aura to more closely align with pokemon?

Mike

Probably XD-01

Fred Steel

I'm really concerned about something. If Shadow Lugia was the mother of baby Lugia, what happened to the Lugia from the interlude that was investigating a great darkness in his home region. It was assumed at the time that this was in reference to Orre/shadow Pokemon, and that he would become XD-01 (Shadow Lugia). Does this mean that Cipher has another Shadow Lugia, or is that Lugia dealing with a whole other issue somewhere we don't know about ?

Singa_pore

Healing wish is a different move than wish. Its user faints, then heals the target to full hp.

Mario Schade

Yes, I hope that the mentioned aftermath of Viva includes, among other things, the rescue of some Pokémon. Since Brock has a Sudo, the rescued Pokémon don't have to come to the characters. But a conclusion would be great.

Mario Schade

Is Link's wish really that powerful? I mean, Lugia 2 said Lugia 1 would die. That's a powerful Psychic-type Pokémon of the same species. We're not talking about a few battle scars here, but deeper injuries. And one move from a Pokémon is enough to get a happy ending? Even with a hidden dash of Power of Emotions? Hm... that doesn't quite fit together for me dramaturgically. Maybe Link should have started the whole thing (in the sense of a hero moment, to stay with the idea of the scene) and other Pokémon would have joined in (maybe even some from the migration) because they saw Link's commitment. That way, you could show the severity of the injuries and still stick to the basic idea. But even though Wish is a mega useful move, the rescue effect goes too far/fast/deep for me here, even if potions follow, etc. The rescue is “too easy” – sounds stupid, but that's how it feels abruptly at the end. I also see the danger here that, in the long term, every scene with injuries will have to measure up to Link+Wish or take it into account in the background. I imagine that would be worse from a writer's perspective as well.

Joyeus

Also remember they sent a psychic child to lead gather the army. After he tried to influence multiple foreign leaders during a crisis.

Squeeky602

I'm curious if Natural has been involved in the talks between Fiore and Indigo. Are we about to find out that his Empath/Psychic abilities have been used to sway the diplomats.

ChurchNexus26

If anyone’s I think I could punishment for N is is forced to go to sabrina’s gym to learn how to troll his psychic abilities if he wants to leave his country as a punishment because he has been using his psychic ability on other people not on purpose but he’s been doing it

geogio13

I had no idea that N's egg donor had such a taste for foot sandwiches, seeing as she shoved her own into her mouth.

daniel wingborg

typo/corrections It still caused another lull. This time I noted that the ice didn’t shit underneath us. shit -> shift They’re mad,” I barked. “Regirock! KNock out that left side KNock -> knock

Jericho Rising

I cant help but agree, their actions here as foreign diplomats is absolutely breaking every amount of trust indigo could possibly have put in them. This is a PR disaster for Fiore. Orre on the other hand is completely boned.

Pedro Henrique

How much backlash is the fioran delegation and Fiore in general take from this? Because a criminal organization, one with strong ties to the government, with what i assume are several proeminent public figures in its higher echelon just commited the single biggest act of terrorism since the war ended. Combined with how Fiore has been a massive pain in the ass with its cult like religion harassing trainers internationaly, i can only imagine the country itself is about to see some massive sanctions against it, if not outright military intervention.

Jeremy

Because Fjord is a diplomat there is not much Brock or Koga as a foreign agent can do at the moment. Likely even Koga was not here in official capacity of Indigo Elite Four since I would guess requesting foreign aid would take time. I imagine the repercussions of Fjord’s hostility will pop up soon when everything is less on fire

Mr Mouse

'Gonna hide out all stealthy like in this pond' 'Sir, that is a lake... a new lake' 'Stealthy Lugia, in his stealthy pond'

Viva01

Link thinks you deserve only the best things in life!

Raptor

Amazing chapter

Winterlord117

I swear, i cannot wait to see Fiore get taken out back and spanked for being a constant pain in the ass to everyone who's actually trying to improve things.

Anareth

Yeah, Fjord threatening to assault the government officials from 2 or 3 larger and more powerful nations was a choice to be sure.

Imef

Using the biggest available Pokémon as her personal pedestal/palanquin to stare down the opposition doesn't give off slaver-vibes at all... No, when Fjord does it, it's not reductive to literally stand on somebody else. I'm sure that Wailord is totally equal to her in her eyes.

Kevin Lee

He got injured in other skirmishes last chapter so I assume he was running on fumes at that point

Mike

Wtf did Orange Archipelago champion do? Twiddle this thumbs? No impact. How is N going to end up in Unova ? Did Agatha just play a cheerleader role ?

Mike

Yo…. WHERE is Blaine and the Madam ? Does Cipher’s takedown of Rocket mean they have no worthwhile resources? Were Butch and Cassidy tortured O.o by Cipher ?

Aaron Hardin

I feel like Fiore is going to have diplomatic consequences for this, going to a foreign country and threatening their leaders to do something (even if it as what they were planning to do anyway) in the middle of a crisis when they are not in a superior military position and the hist country is not making any requests of them will have negative consequences. It may be on a smaller scale, like Fjord is rejected as a diplomat and banned from Indigo, but something negative for Fiore should come from how their “diplomat” behaved in a time of crisis on foreign soil.

Docnox

Oh come on! SO much future problems get nipped in the bud right here and now if Brock speaks up in front of N instead of letting the gal blather on and walk off with zero consequences for hindering efforts against terrorists Her fanatic actions hinder her own cause and she keeps getting dismissed instead of set straight. Its super frustrating to read happen several times. Like its all i can think about instead of how awesome the last few chapters were. Team cypher was too out of left field ( not the event, the team, wasn’t really forshadowed) but fiore kept popping up and now they’re walking with no resolution feels like a hugh loss Loved the battle, but this ending just makes me frustrated

Imef

Fiore making a lot of influential enemies with their posturing, and demands. They seem like opportunists running straight towards an army of Pokémon, almost giddy to order them around. Let's hope that they aren't as far gone as to relocate the Pokémon to Fiore to "avoid capture". Relocating this many Pokémon from their natural habitats could easily be construed as an act of war or eco terrorism.

HoldTightAndPretendItsAPlan

Fiore reps: Release the pokemon! Brock: Bro I was literally just about to? Like, give me a minute geeze. Fiore: Uh... yeah, well good! Brock: *approaches pokemon* Fiore: Don't catch it! Brock: My guy. Seriously. I don't even have a pokeball?? Fiore: ... wtf Titan: He's the best isn't he! Fiore: Brainwashed slave! Titan: o.O? Brock: I appreciate the attempt to back me up bud, but these guys just don't understand friendship.

HoldTightAndPretendItsAPlan

Lugi: *is dying* Brock: I hate sad endings. Quick, Link, fix it so I don't have to cry. Link: I love a happy ending ❤️

HoldTightAndPretendItsAPlan

Lugia: *dying* Other Lugia: They're a gonner. Baby Lugia: Noooo!!! Everyone: :'( Link: I'm about to blow your minds with this next trick.

Alexander Gofric

So one of the lyrics from the song is as follows: Each of us holds the key To the power of one! Each of us is chosen There's a mission just for you Just look inside You'll be surprised What you can do The power of one! Begins with believing! It's starts in the heart Then flows through the soul And changes the world! Imagine how life will be When we stand in unity Each of us holds the key To the power of one! Then one by one We can make the world A much better place! The lyrics kinda beautifully fit this moment Ash obviously was very important to the story and I would say has a special destiny but he never does anything alone in the pokemon world. Let alone the pokemon that help him his friends also usually help him save the day. Here everyone was essential for fixing this mess and everyone, especially Flannery, Misty, Visquez, Brock, Sabrina, Ash, and even Melody all were a chosen one this day and together saved the Pokemon world. They all had a role to play. It would be unrealistic for Ash to do everything by himself. Saving the Shamouti Lugia with the special orbs and Melody's song was extremely essential to make sure this didn't end in tragedy. He's also comparatively still extremely young compared to everyone else. He's still growing into his ability and I am sure will have much bigger roles going forward.

Petrox

Link, the hero we don't deserve.

LazyG3nius22

Nice work and foreshadowing

ShinLupin

Damn Koga got hit like that? Is that Disco-zombie that skilled? Wonder if Fjord noticed that she barely had any influence on the Events, she seems to have quite the ego. And now she was denied any glory.

Deltoren

God the delegates from fiore are such hypocrites. Screaming about poke all slavery while openly using brainwashing. Really hope they get their ass handed to them

SailorOfHouseThunderBird

Awesome chapter. Ive always loved this movie/arc. Would've been nice to get more Ash pov in this, but it was still done well. I do like how Sabrina and Brock had a part to play as 'chosen ones' too here. So that definitely counts as a magical girl moment for Sabrina at the end there right?

Qweku_v

Excellent chapter

Alexander Gofric

I hope Brock can save that poor shadow sudowoodo that Mirror B had.

Ben Lockwood

I don’t think it was ash that for filled the prophecy, it was Sabrina and Brock

readerdreamer5625

Being a disruption in an emergency should also merit some kind of consequence. They literally barged into nearly everything demanding to be involved and ended up being nothing but nuisances.

BlackRazaras

Thanks for the chapter

Antony Wilson

Still looking towards to the fallout of bringing a natural empath with uncontrollable psychic power into a foreign nation/ unto negotiations

readerdreamer5625

Honestly it's a bit unsatisfying that for all the build up, we never actually saw what Ash did here to fulfill his part of the prophecy. Sabrina already had a lot of screentime so far so Ash should've been the one to purify Shadow Lugia.

Vikteren

Yeah the delegates are comeing off as Zelots who at best were useless here at worst got in the way.

HyruleChampion

Thank you for the chapter. . . Now watch as Lugia ends up occasionally perching in Saffeon and Pewter
