I would say that usually he goes simple and clean with his descriptions and writing but this chapter almost feels like he is trying to be flowerly resulting in using maybe 30-40% more words to say what he usually would. And it makes it feel clunky.

Focus Armstrong

If titan knew sucker punch it'd be terrifying, priority on something that strong is always absurd.

Focus Armstrong

I'd like to add, in team battles taunt could be an almost instant win. Do you remember when the Guardians were fighting Team Aqua on Mewtwo's island, a couple of taunts could've been deadly preventing protect from coming out against hyperbeam.

Virtue

If Titan's ability isn't Sand Veil (Hidden from Larvitar, turns into Unnerve as Ttar) or Sand Stream, then the hints this story has given thus far basically means it has to be Battle Bond, right?

Ixta

You're not wrong about how Brock -should- have Taunt on his toolbelt already, but I think you're forgetting that Brock has never really needed it before. Prior to the battle with Lance, Brock didn't actually participate in the Ace circuit, and the vast majority of his battles were for low level badges. Sure, he had the Elite challenge going on already, but it seems like the strength of his opponents was pretty low compared to the battles he's getting into now. It's like a reverse of that old saying "If all you have is a hammer, every problem looks like a nail." Well, for Brock, if every problem was a nail, why did he ever need anything other than a hammer? But things have changed significantly since then, and his old toolbox is insufficient. It's been part of his development to realize that he still needs to improve and have better strategies to face opponents that are actually strong and challenging.

Jericho Rising

Great chapter once again thanks.

Jericho Rising

Same here!

Jericho Rising

While I disagree as well im curious which parts felt overly descriptive and which felt clumsy or overused? I personally didn't notice much repetition which is impressive for describing a pokemon battle.

Jericho Rising

Personally I felt a good fight like this was and is needed, the fact it's not over yet doesn't impose any less of an effect. Win or Lose this match has built Brawley up as a solid future gym leader with a really fantastic base to his fighting style. Over on Brock's side of things, the new moves and overall style of fight Titan is showing a more aggressive and devious side to the tyranitar line. While Brock is reinforced with the idea that stopping others from stalling is something he's going to need to focus a lot on in the future. This fight has cemented taunt as a mandatory part of his teams future kit. Couple of other prep moves wouldn't be too bad either, like glare or screech.

Tim Wren

Thank you! I'm dumb lol. I went back and checked again and I think I just can't read when I first wake up apparently. Appreciate the correction 🙏

in chapter 268 right at the end Brock has Titan use Aerial Ace against Breloom and Titan flattens the Grass-fighting type with the 4 x supper effective move allowing him to one shot Breloom. - Brawly tried to use Leech Seed as his first move cuase that would have set him in a hugely advantageous position for the rest of the match only for Brock to deny it outright.

Viva01

thanks for those edits.

King hand axe

A so-so chapter this time. It was well done but also at time felt a little bit overcooked. I'm not sure why taunt isn't a permanent part of his kit? I mean, he's been a champion level pokemon for ages that will almost always win in contests of strength/power so the only way other really have a chance of winning is to set up either status moves or stall and control strategies, so taunt is a one stop shop to making people always fight Titan at his strongest ... aka a fight of power.

Deltoren

That is completely your prerogative but this chapter feels much worse then his usual chapters do.

CentaureHeart

Um no, disagree ^^

Jason Robbyns

Titan's the best!

Thnx

Tim Wren

This is a great chapter! I don't usually say anything if I notice a potential issue, since I hate when people bring such stuff up re: my own writing, but I went back to check the end of the last chapter. Was the skip to Machamp on purpose? Sometimes it's a purposeful timeskip which is fine! I was just making sure we weren't meant to see the Breloom fight on screen for example. Thanks for sharing this with us!

Deltoren

This chapter was super clunky and over descriptive. The descriptions were clumsy and overused. It read like a college student trying to use more words to say the same thing

HoldTightAndPretendItsAPlan

Yay! I loved this chapter. I was on the edge of my seat (metaphorically) the entire time! I'm so excited to see where this fight goes!

HoldTightAndPretendItsAPlan

Edit: "I breathed a sigh of relief even as my hert hundred in my ears." I think it should be 'heart pounded' and not 'hert hundred' here

Qweku_v

Thx

I breathed a sigh of relief even as my hert hundred in my ears. The field shook as the Aura Sphere, one of the few moves with a near perfect accuracy regardless of effects slammed into the ground where Titan was. heart thundered* Great battle! cant wait for the finish next chapter. I wonder if Empress is also watching?

HoldTightAndPretendItsAPlan

Edit (RECOMENDATION) "I had an idea as to what that meant for me and this fight but I had to push it to the side as it didn’t matter in the face of the Superpower pokemon taking to the field." I think a comma should be added after 'fight'. The sentence is a bit long without one.

HoldTightAndPretendItsAPlan

Edit: "I made a note of it while also spotting that Brawly, had a remarkable fastball with not just th release action being fast but also the throw itself doing professional baseballers proud." I think it should be: "I made a note of it while also spotting that Brawly had a remarkable fastball with not just the release action being quick, but also the throw itself doing professional baseballers proud." - The comma after "Brawly" doesn't feel necessary - 'th' should be 'the' -  'being fast' feels a little redundant and clunky after saying it was a fastball. Changing the word 'fast' with 'quick' would make it sound a little less repetitive (I think?) - a comma after 'quick' would be nice.

Donald Bagwell

love it so far!

BlackRazaras

Thanks for the chapter
