My “VR” Babymetal experience = DC show in November 2024 😉. You may have caught Babymetal in an off year for shows with your travels. It seems like they may be focused more on internal production this year. Vocals/audio are very accurate. Of course, Blu-Rays audio is touched up slightly. However, I will attest: They sound just as good in true live setting at my DC show in Nov. Su was not perfect, but damn near. Therefore: you can rest assured knowing that when you experience a Blu-ray, it’s nearly the same as a live show!

Both guitarists from the current Kami band come from a costume band called Galactic Empires. They played metal versions of Star Wars music dressed as characters from Star Wars. One was Darth Vader and the other was a storm trooper I think. They opened for Babymetal at their Dark Night Carnival shows. So Koba knew who they were, knew they could and would play in masks. They were also fairly well known session and youtube guitarists. Not sure how they got Anthony (the drummer).

There is a bit of stage production actually. The stage in the crowd moves up and down. In Shanti Shanti Shanti and Da Da Dance it was raised up. This concert is known though as being a simpler one and for showing the Kamis more. The complicated stages make the Kamis harder to see. But we also have the Momo platform. It is not this arena. They have done some of very complex stages and other stuff here.

Phones are usually not allowed and in general its not considered polite to have your phone out at a show. Some of the show videos show an intro they would play at the shows with Koba dressed up in the skeleton gear telling people no phones/no recording.

Well done. For their old concerts, i suggest Budokan 2014 Red and Black night and Live at Tokyo Dome (The biggest crowd in Japan 55000 people each night) Red and Black night. Very early shows Legend I D Z 2012/13. As today, their planned 3 shows at Slipknot Festival in Australia (late Febraury/ early March) and their first Arena tour (Japan style show) in Europe in May. I'll be in London at O2 Arena May 30th

Nope, almost no leaks ever about their personal lives. We know Moa went to university and studied neuroscience. Moa has been seen in social media pictures with friends but even her friends block her face in the pictures.

Especially for this concert vocals are pretty raw. You can actually hear a couple imperfections if you listen closely. In general vocals on the blurays, which is where this video comes from, are pretty close with probably some touchups and pitch correction but not much. The studio recordings are heavily processed which is why everyone prefers live.

They usually perform a couple times a year in Japan. They have not announced any Japan shows for 2025 yet. It is hard to get tickets for Japan shows. They are assigned using a lottery.
