The Zetsu Mail [May 2023 Edition]

How's everybody doing? It's already May, huh? Oh, gosh. I don't wanna get existential today, so let's save all the dread for a later time shall we?
First things first, I'd like to apologize for the constant string of delays on my part, and the lack of streaming or even posting all my audios onto YouTube. I could point to many things that could have had a factor in it, but I think ultimately it stems from my growing disinterest in making porn.
Whoa, big scary words for an NSFW channel, I know.
It's been part of my creative work for a very long time, well before I even started this whole thing, so I don't think I'll ever stop. It's just the kind of thing that's really easy to burn out on, at least for me. Burnout isn't really accurate to describe what I've been feeling, and it's more to do with how limiting it is.
Writing has always been part of my life, whether it was baby Zetsu reading a ton of books or slightly-older-but-still-baby-as-fuck Zetsu venting their school troubles in the form of songwriting and fanfiction. Nowadays, I write audio scripts for a living.
I've been doing this for a year now (happy anniversary btw) and it's really starting to show its cracks. I made the whole 'monthly theme' thing primarily for me to have a sense of direction with every month's audios and make sure interesting stuff happens instead of the same old scenarios popping up frequently. It worked, kinda. It's a lot easier to come up with ideas for the month.
But I never really feel fulfilled, y'know? It's like..."alright, I gotta write this thing...do do do, da da da, I guess that's it, time to record". I'm eternally grateful that you guys are supporting me over here and on YouTube and it makes me hopeful about my future prospects. But these audios are getting uninspired and I don't know what to do about it.
I can't do anything without slipping in a sex scene. I can't write anything cool without slipping in some makeout session. I can't tell a story without ending it with a bang (get it?). Now, it's not like I always had the "story" of the NSFW audios in mind. I did that for my SFW channel back in 2021, and didn't really carry it over onto this side save for like, the Rental Femboy audios and the Halloween ones. But I disgress.
I really want to try something different, but I worry I'll lose everything I built over the past year. I want to keep making NSFW because it's the only income I have right now. I want to grow but there's so much work to do and it's overwhelming. It's all been getting to me lately, and it really crashed on me this week. I'm a bit lost right now.
I just wanted to be upfront with you guys and tell you what's been going on. You deserve that much and also the content you paid for. I'll get the audios out.
The theme for this month is gentle. It's Mental Health Awareness month, so I hope you all take care of yourself and take it slow when it gets too crazy, okay?
As always, if you're a Couch Council or a higher tier, you get to know what the audios are gonna be before they come out, and get to vote on which one is released first.

I certainly can't speak for everyone, but I've been subscribed to your YouTube channels for a bit and just recently became a Patron, so I'll put in my two cents, for what it's worth. If you aren't feeling fulfilled making the content you feel obligated or typecast (for lack of a better word) to produce, then I would encourage you to take the plunge and experiment with the stuff you would like to try. Speaking for myself, the NSFW stuff is a bonus, icing on the cake (pardon the unintentional pun). I'm here because you're pleasant to listen to, you help me relax, and if you want to ease back on (or even take a hiatus from) the saucy stuff, I'll stick around. You should be happy and feel satisfied with what you put so much time and effort into. And if that’s not the case, I'm more than willing to go without spicy audios and to support you flexing your creative muscles. Do what's best for you and those of us that enjoy your work will stick around to see you grow.
