Thanks James! Appreciate the kind words and continued support! ^^

Dogen

haha I've run into that one as well, believe it or not. Very glad to hear that you've noticed a clear improvement! Let me know if you ever have any questions! ^^

Admiral Captain Fabulous

I just watched his video where he nitpicks you. I am both proud, and honored to learn under you. And I can't thank you enough for creating these lessons.

Aidan Morrison

Awesome! Was hoping to see this. Thanks for sharing ^^ Edit: On the subject of accent mistakes. Some time ago I mixed up the accent for 支障 (0) and 師匠 (1) in a conversation and the person had no idea what I was saying at first. Thanks to these lessons I was able to quickly correct my mistake. Before I studied accent I would have had no idea what had happened haha.

Dogen

Thanks! I believe he is still cutting the footage, so stay on the lookout! ^^ Cheers!

せげい! Been following Kaz for a while so v cool to see you both converse. Hope there's more.

Dogen

That's a great attitude Simon! I hope that you're able to pick up some tips from his critique! ^^ Cheers!

Dogen

Hi Nathan. Thanks for watching! It was kind of both—some things are easier to say in one language or the other, and other times we were just kind of switching back and forth based on the general flow of the conversation. Cheers! ^^

Dogen

Hi Tom, glad to hear that you enjoy his other videos as well. I'll try asking him the next time we talk!

Dogen

My pleasure! I'm glad you enjoyed it!

That's awesome! I've seen his videos before (of you and a few others), I've been thinking I should get him to nitpick my Japanese, so... inspired by this post I've sent him a video, looking forward (not without some trepidation....) to what he has to say! Though I have to say I've already benefited: I've been freshly reminded how painful (and therefore effective) it is to watch video of myself talking...brrr... I clearly need to do more of this! (as you do recommend).

Nathan Vegdahl

This is so cool! Really looking forward to more! Edit: also, even aside from the content of the discussion, it's really fun listening to the two of you switching between English and Japanese throughout the conversation. Do you find that certain things are easier to express in one language or the other, or are you just switching kind of on a whim?

Tom

He's got some good videos I've enjoyed watching. It'd be interesting hearing his (or other native speakers) thoughts on globalization/ evolution of the language, etc. I suppose he's touched on it at least. そうなんですね

Matthias Sieber

Thanks for sharing. That was very interesting to watch.
