He did. But going against the upload schedule the algorithm assumes you have is detrimental to the channel's recommendation rating. So it's best for your channel to try and resolve it with support first.

There's no policy preventing it, but it wouldn't help much, unless all million plus views happened all over again, and it might even alienate some of those viewers.

Obviously the system is broken, but I'm not sure I understand why you couldn't delete/unlist the video, export a new version without the swearing, and re-upload that instead? Is there a policy that would prevent you from doing that?
