I've been working on the video this month. Unfortunately, I made a bit less progress than I had hoped. This is due to a multitude of reasons, the primary one simply being, I just don't feel 100% motivated. Getting things done is an everyday battle, and one that I don't always win.
Nonetheless, I've made a lot of slow incremental progress, which does add up to amount to most of the video! I did fall hopelessly behind schedule and didn't bother to update it to reflect the new reality, so this is how things are looking right now.
On the progress side, things look like this.
A release on October 1st does not look feasible, so I'm going to delay it a week. It's a shame, because I really should have been able to meet that goal, but my productivity has been sub-par for the entirety and August and September. I won't beat myself up too much over it; my focus is to try and get back in shape, because I'm happier when I get work done.
There were a lot of cool hurdles to try and overcome in the editing process. As you know, I am breaking down the most complex A press saves yet, and so just the route itself is an insane maze to navigate. At the end of this post are some highlights of the things I've edited in the past couple of weeks.
That's it for now! I'm sorry I worked slower this month, and I'm sorry I didn't update you guys as much as I wanted. But things are shaping up well and the video is getting closer to finished with every passing day!
Explaining the camera field of view.
SJMHRP spent almost as long on her pendulum manipulation brute forcer as I spent on the entire ABC History series so far (~1300-1500 hours)
Clipping outside the walls with a float precise wall overlap.
Trying to give a sense of how large the 4000-unit activation radius for OoB bob-ombs is.
Trying to give a sense of just how insanely close Mario is to the activation radius during the whole section on the pendulum inside the walls.
