Production update 2020-04-19

I've been working a lot more in the past week, and time has been flying. I didn't realize it was already Monday! This brings me to the bad news: it's looking like I won't actually be able to finish the video in time for Friday. I'll keep working at it, but there's a decent chance I end up delaying it by a few days.
But! This week I've been doing stuff that I put off for the longest time, and I worked a lot on the music. I recorded most of it yesterday and today! I have a really sick arrangement that involves a bunch of different Mario games in one medley/mashup, but I fear it might not be ready just yet. I'll probably record it for the next video. But, I did come up with some really cool music to add to this one (and future parts). Recording those let me actually finish the intro now, so, here it is, as a little teaser!

Obviously, don't spread this around. You guys have all been really great at keeping secrets so far, and I want to thank you all for that! It allows me to share what I'm working on without fear of ruining the surprise for everyone else.
As far as editing goes, I'm a bit past the halfway point. I still have a couple more piano arrangements I need to record or do some post-production on (my recordings usually have a few mistakes that I correct with a MIDI editor before recording it as an audio file!), but aside from that, it's only 7 minutes of video left to edit. I can still make it by Friday, but like I said... don't be surprised if I don't.

Hey Bismuth, don't worry about getting a video out by Friday. Seriously, take your time and put it out when you feel it's ready. I'd rather watch a video you're proud of rather than one you rushed just to please us. One that note, the piano playing in that little teaser is great and the music sounds so cool. I can't wait to hear everything else you made for this video. Keep up the good work.
