✨Hello everyone!!✨
To start off I want to say thank you all!! March has (somehow!?!) been the biggest month for my Patreon yet! So welcome to all new and returning members! This is the perfect time because this month with be the full release of 'Rai & Kai's Awakening - Part 1: Theospolis & The Human Basin'! This is by far the biggest update coming to the game! (Even more work than the first demo release..!) This updates features lot new story content as well as a tons of polishing up the already existing content!
This post will be in 2 parts, I'll go over the major updates coming to Rai&Kai's Awakening, as well as a section where I explain some changes to my Patreon coming. I have a 'tdlr' right below this if you just want a quick read through :D Otherwise I'll be doing a mini dev-log down below with some teases of what's coming!
TDLR;
Rai & Kai's Awakening - Part 1 will include:
- New Spirit Nest (Dungeon)
- Recruit Scenes (Spicy) (2x)
- Kai Seduce Message Chat's
- Day/Night Cycle
- Part 1 Ending Epilogue
- Major Map Improvements with new Secret CG Sets
- Major Dialogue Rewrites (hopefully way more polished!!)
- Major CG Revamps (for both existing story and seduce scenes)
- Older Seduce Scenes getting expanded
- Old Save files won't work (I will provide a save file that covers up to v1.7)
Patreon Updates:
- Delivery Rai & Kai's Awakening game file through my itch store page (most likely)
- Patreon Member price increase from $5 to $7.50 (Still get the full game for being a member!)
- New Member Reward: 'Scrapped Rai & Kai CG sets' (2x a month)
- Character Image Sets (like 'Kyo's Daily Life') will be less frequent but starting up again after Rai&Kai's Awakening Part 1 is released
✨✨ April Full Update ✨✨
Rai & Kai's Awakening
Part 1 full release out end of April ! (most likely the final week) and will include:New Spirit Nest (Dungeon) - The 'West Theospolis - Construction Site' corrupted spirit nest is implemented and will continue the main story of the game!
2x Recruit Scenes (Spicy) - The corrupted spirit nest is much more dangerous than the previous nest Rai completed. He is required to find two party members to join him. These recruit scenes play similarly to 'seduce scenes' but alongside the main story and Rai will be present but not directedly involved in the action. (I wanted these to be an additional character specific scenes for the two characters that are separate from their seduce scene with Rai)
New Awakening Competition Chat's - These are new chat updates from Kaiser that include a spicy CG of him. Rai will receive them when out exploring the map! While they obviously won't cover all of Kai's seduces, they should help feel like Kai is progressing just like Rai is, and that it's actually a competition between the two of them!
Day and Night Cycle - You can now explore locations during the day or night by sleeping in Rai's bed. Some location's will be off limits depending on the time of day (eg. Athlos at night or Entertainment District during the day). Some existing characters and secret CG sets will now be place in the night time version of these maps to make more sense with their story..!
Part 1 Ending Epilogue - An ending story that begins once you defeat the next spirit nest. It includes multiple story scenes with an ending to the Theospolis story line + an epilogue that teases what's to come in part 2.
Major Map Improvements - Almost every map is updated and expanded (Most maps will also have new preview characters who are planned for future updates).
New Athlos Academy Map :D (it looks better zoomed in lol)New & Improved 'Secret CG's - Have standardized the 'Secret CG Sets' that can be found on the main maps, adding a lot of additional sets (including multiple night only ones)!
Major Dialogue Rewrites - This has been a long time coming but I have finally gone through and rewritten and polished huge chunks of the game's dialogue. Hopefully there is a lot less grammar and spelling issues and more consistent and unique dialogue for each character's (still can't promise it's perfect though!)
Major CG Improvements - I've gone through all the older CGs making Rai & Kai look more consistent throughout the story (heaps of updated cg's in the intro and many seduce scenes) & also updated a lot of the seduce scenes with janky looking cgs.
When I was going through the dialogue rewrites I realized a lot of the older scenes Rai & Kai looked very different to how they are in the latest updates. As Rai & Kai both are 'pleasure faye' they can slightly change there appearance, but since they are still unexperienced they can't really control it so it goes based off their feelings (will come into focus in future parts). However, I released a lot of the early scene Rai looks too young and small, while Kai looks almost unrecognizable... lol!
Rai is a confident and very self assured person so over time I have started to make him a bit more older and athletic looking than I originally intended. Kai on the other hand has gotten a bit smaller and leaner. This update will give a bit of a deeper look into how Kai puts on a very strong and abrasive exterior but on the inside he is a lot more fragile and insecure than he seems! Anyway, I've put two example here to demonstrate the CGs differences for fun~ (old left, new right)
Kai in the intro & Rai in Solvi's seduce... lolOld Save files won't work - For this update I finally went and reworked some of the systems in the backend of the game which I made (poorly) when I was first using RPG Maker. The big one was the Item system, which is used to keep track of what seduces and jobs you have completed. Because of this players that use their old saves will definitely not work for this update (SORRY!!! - this should be the only time this happens!)
There is so much new updated CGs and additional scenes with new dialogue that I have implemented in the already existing parts of story and seduce scenes, that I really recommend starting from scratch! But for players that have already completed everything up to the end of the v1.7 update and feel that would be too repetitive, I will provide a clean save file that has all the past 30 seduces complete as well as the first dungeon :D
Patreon Updates
Delivering Rai & Kai's game files - The game file is starting to get big. Currently it is at 1.4GB (thanks to the huge amount of images in the game). I will try this month distributing it through a proper channel, my itch store page. If there are any issues I'll either use MEGA or try uploading straight to Patreon again :D
Slight Price Increase - I will be increasing the price of the member Patreon tier from $5 to $7.50 next month. I plan to sell Rai & Kai's Awakening for $10, so my members will be getting it for less, mainly as a thank you too all of you who stay on from month to month.
New Member Reward: 'Scrapped Rai & Kai CG sets' - Now that part 1 will fully be out and there is so many scraped cg's from the game (proof of concepts or images that were good but didn't match the scene), I will start posting a set of scrapped CG's fortnightly for paid members only..! (I might even do polls to see which characters people want to see most)
I really do create this game for fun, but I end up putting a lot of time into making this so I really appreciate all paid members who are supporting the game!! I will in future parts of the game buy more assets and extension for rpg maker to make the game continuing to feel fresh and new as well :)
Future (Anime & Game) Character Images Sets - It's been two months since I did the Pokémon themed character image set, I've been focusing on Rai & Kai's Awakening more, but I plan to start doing them again once Part 1 of Rai & Kai is out (will do the sequels to the already existing ones too!). I probably won't go back to doing them monthly as Rai & Kai seems to be more popular and I prefer working on that. But I still enjoy doing these and will still release them from time to time~
To everyone who read this entire update, Thank you! <3 I've been having a lot of fun working on this game, so it makes me happy seeing people who enjoy it! Also now is a great time to suggest anything (characters, scenarios, gameplay or anything..!) you would like to see included in the game..!!
I have a outline for the story and major character's for all the parts, but a lot of the smaller detail's I make along the way..! I do include some member suggested content already in the game! For example, Ken - 'Fynn's employee' is a member request character! I was given a specific look and personality that I went and fit into the game! A new character who is previewed in the next update 'Kibana - The Spearman' who is on Kai's adventuring team is another member requested character that will show up more in the future~)

I re did one of the backends so it wont work sorry! But I have provided a zip file in the update post i made yesterday that has a save that has all the content up to the 1.7 update complete :)

There will be much more kai content this update with the introduction of kai seduce text messages to rai! It will likely be very end of April, I have almost finished implementing all dialogue rewrites and CG improvements to existing content, and I have already written and generated all the images for the new content, so now I just need to implement it and make the dungeon! (If i finish the update early I'll post early..!)

I've thought about doing both of those, or even expanding on malek's gym! (still might in the future) but i think you might like the Track & Field captain that going to be previewed in the next update - his seduce won't come until after though
