Horizon Zero Dawn: UI Icons Fix for Master Adept outfits (NG+)
🕑 Added 2024-07-08 20:56:29 +0000 UTCIf you already have tried New Game+ mode in Horizon Zero Dawn, most probably you have noticed that almost all High(Heavy) class outfits are changed to "Adept" version, which are technically the same outfits but with one additional modification slot.
Along with usual Heavy/Adept outfits, there are few powerful outfits which you can't get from common merchants. These outfits are marked as "Master" outfits, also have "Adept" versions in NG+ and can be traded only for quest items from specific merchants.
Here are three of them which I want to speak about:

Which, in normal game mode have appropriate UI inventory icons
And all looks good and clear as far, but once you will start New Game+ and try to get these outfits, which will gain "Adept" versions, and will be named: Nora Silent Hunter Master Adept, Carja Blazon Master Adept, Banuk Ice Hunter Master Adept, appropriate, than you will get some problems.
For unknown reason you will see these UI inventory icons for each appropriate outfit:
I don't know if it was some special developer's idea, or just simple mistake during game developing process, but it's becoming obvious, that in NG+ mode, game addressing to wrong UI icons (only for these three outfits above)... and thats bringing problems, especially when I create my custom outfits and related custom UI icons, because if for non-moded version this bug is not so visible, but when it comes to custom UI icons, - its becoming obvious that something wrong.
Here is example screenshot of one of my custom outfits in NG+ (Silent Hunter Master Adept) for better understanding:
As you see here on the picture, it's not showing my custom UI icon, due to addressing UI icon from another outfit.
Fortunately, after couple days of digging game files I succeeded to make a fix, which bringing back proper UI icon addresses, and finally putting UI icons in designated places.
If you already encountered this issue, feel free to download this fix, link will be below. Just install it as usual mod to Packed_DX12 folder.
Also, I will add this fix to each related outfit in Patreon Shop page, along with main mod.
Just to remind you one more time, only three outfits are affected by this bug:
Nora Silent Hunter Master Adept, Carja Blazon Master Adept and Banuk Ice Hunter Master Adept
