Game Dev Diary #5
🕑 Added 2024-04-06 02:50:11 +0000 UTCHello again. It's time for the next game dev diary. I been making strides in the fields of knowledge.
For those of you that don't know, I posted a 2 minute gameplay video of the top down shooter prototype I posted about previously on my Discord. I can't post it here cause I can't embed videos in a journal on DA so go check it out if you'd like.
Where to begin? I figured out controller support, got the class prototype into a working state, made a bunch of assets (like the pumpkin lad and his large attack), and implemented more complex systems like limited ammunition.
All in all things have been going wonderfully on the coding front and I'm having a lot of fun doing it. I'm now working on a platformer prototype which will put an end to my class time and begin my real game.
Basically a Zombie Survivor style thing so far but the information I picked up from this has been huge and I can't wait to talk more about it soon.
