[My Art] WFH Attire
🕑 Added 2022-05-23 05:27:25 +0000 UTC "You alright Erin? Sounds like a freight train over there." A man's voice questions over the laptop speakers. Erin sighs, stealing a glance just off the webcam. Her very own blonde bundle of energy had decided now was the perfect time to run around in his sister's heels. Usually working from home is a serene ordeal. Ron isn't home, Amber and Derek were both at school. Some of her colleagues may have hated going WFH but not her, long live this new age of no boss breathing down her neck! "Hey, mom! Watch this, watch this!" Derek had left the heels behind and was already set up for another backflip off the couch. She may have envied his seemingly infinite well of stamina, but she'd already told him six times to keep the volume down while mommy's working. Erin turned off her webcam and muted her microphone. She couldn't risk anyone seeing the pajama bottoms hidden just beneath the webcam's view. "Derek Taylor! That is the last straw, I told you to keep it down when I'm in a meeting! Get over here!" Erin made her way towards Derek in much the same way someone might approach a wild animal, carefully and anticipating any sudden movements. Derek's eyes widened with realization as he takes a small step backward. "Nuh uh! You're just gonna fart on me again! You can't make me!" Having done this many a time before Erin leaped on the boy, pinning him to the ground by his shoulders. "I'm not farting on you! Stop calling it that. Dr. Deigns calls it negative aromatherapy!" Lifting Derek off the ground, Erin drags him by the heels over to the laptop and stuffs him under the table that she called her home office desk. She'd been at this negative aromatherapy for three months now? When was it supposed to fix these behavioral issues? Erin shoves a couch cushion under her son's head, fighting him every step of the way. "I don't care what that internet quack says! Lemme go!" She doesn't dignify Derek with a response, he'd wasted enough of her time already. Glancing over her shoulder, she slips her pajama bottoms down and drops directly onto the boy's face. Finally, peace and quiet. Or at least it will be after the first blast... She adjusts the webcam before turning it back on. After confirming no one could tell anything going on below the waist, she unmutes. "So sorry about the wait everyone. You know how it is!" She apologizes profusely while ensuring she has a firm cover on Derek's mouth. "It's fine Ms. Taylor, but we do need to minimize interruptions. This meeting is blocked off for the next hour and I'd prefer not to run too long." Her client scolds her. "S-sorry sir, won't happen again!" An hour?
