Well if you think about becoming, Gunn is becoming something more than just someone in a gang, so i think you answered your own question to that

A pretty decent episode, though it bugs me that in the scene where Angel is attacked by Gunnβs gang, they use the iconic music from Becoming Part 1β¦ which always takes me out of the episode because it feels weird for them to use that exact piece of music for some random fight in an Angel episode. I do like the very last lines of dialogue: Angel: I'll be around. Gunn: I don't need no help. Angel: I might. I like that moment because Angel is showing Gunn that heβs not going to treat him like a naive kid who needs supervision and instead that he respects him :)
