I'm working on two WIP at the same time - the Custom Nuptials and the Freelance Chef. I'm thinking through some things regarding both of those and thought I'd put it out to you all. I'm fairly certain I can keep Custom Nuptials base game compatible (though it will probably recommend Get Famous for the stylist) but the Freelance Chef is a little trickier. Just a reminder in case you forgot what they were
Custom Nuptials (Plans subject to change):
- Civil Union option
- Premarital Counseling
- Custom Wedding Venue
- Custom Wedding Events - an intimate wedding or a huge catered event run by the wedding coordinator; you decide!
- Expanded Guest List - Invite anyone you wish!
- New NPCS - Officiant, Wedding Coordinator
- Wedding Planner/Checklist - Track Budget, Vendors, To Do List
- Wedding Budget - Cheap, Value, Modest, or Unlimited; you choose
- Wedding Types - Simple Elopement, Courthouse Jaunt, DIY Celebration, or Full-On Wedding Extravaganza
- Choose Vendors, Ask for Advise, Go visit vendor
- Take your mom and best friend out to try on wedding dresses and come back with the perfect one!
- Throw an Engagement Party or a Stag Night!
- Wedding Socials - Ask Permission, Discuss Finances, Ask about Kids, Make Important Decisions together
- Make Wedding Website and Registry and receive some of the gifts registered for at the end of the wedding from your guests!
- Wedding Drama - Reactions to Wedding Announcement. Will Mom and Dad be pleased?
- Destination honeymoon?! Book the travel and be whisked away at the end of the wedding!
- Want to get gussied up? Hire makeup and hair stylist to do your hair and makeup before the big day?
Freelance Chef
- Two branches: Freelance Catering Chef and Freelance Pastry Chef
- Choose when and where you work
- Will require a mixture of baking skill, homestyle cooking, and gourmet cooking
- Will be able to be used with most custom foods (depends on how detailed the creator is in how they label their food)
- Gigs for catering will require different styles of cooking, different budgets, different types of dishes, food restrictions and dietary needs, etc.
- Cook for 10 or 20 or 300 - cater a birthday party, a charity gala, a society wedding, a stuffy conference, a sweet sixteen
- Pastry Chef will require cooking and baking, also different budgets,
- Over 40 different gig scenarios
- Hire staff to help you with the business or go at it alone
Right now, for the Freelance Chef I'm extremely limited when it comes to trying to make this base game compatible. It's current iteration has two branches - Freelance Catering Chef and Freelance Pastry Chef. I've toyed with the idea of also having a Freelance Private Chef but it seems redundant to the other two in some ways. For the Pastry Chef, I obviously need Get to Work for the baking skill.
I'm also thinking of requiring Cottage Living and/or Outdoor Retreat for other features. Do you all have the other packs or would that prevent you from being able to use the mod? I'm just curious! I hope to have a Beta out to the tiers that have it soonish. For Custom Nuptials, it's going to be a little more modular and so I'm going to release the base soonish and then the different modules shortly after that. More to come! Also let me know in the comments if you'd care if there was a Private Chef option or not.

Oh I don't even know if that's possible but I'll see if there's any way to do that.

I have no idea if it's possible, but it would be cool if we could choose the menu of foods and drinks that chefs and mixologists would make for the Custom Nuptials mod.
