Caradriel dropped this amazing wedding mod (go check it out) but even with it's options, weddings still feel like they're missing meaningful gameplay. I want to do something somewhat different and add more player-input gameplay and give us the opportunity for our Sim's to have more unique weddings informed by their personalities and with player-input.

Yes (as it says right there in the post) it's very lovely especially for storytelling. I installed it in my game and none of my ideas are fleshed out in her mod. There are interactions to do things but there's no gameplay attached to them. For instance, sims can go to a rabbithole to try on wedding dresses and get a buff but they don't get the option to bring sims with them, the other sims don't get buffs, and you don't actually get to go into cas to select a wedding dress. I want actual gameplay features.
